Can we scapegoat Jimmy Lumsden? Doesn't look like he's doing much

I would have thought Wigan would have been a good loan, but he hardly played and they weren't overloaded with goalscorers.

I think he either needs to go to a top Championship club as a regular in the side, or ideally to a Prem club who aren't in great danger of relegation. That was half the problem with the Wigan loan; they were fighting all season to stay up and Martinez probably didn't want to gamble with an inexperienced player up front when survival was on the line. Not that it mattered a damn in the end.

Just started watching. Anyone care to sum up?

We've had a typical pre season match. The flair players (particularly Nani before he went off) have done well and we've seen some really good attacks. I think Henriquez has been involved plenty which is fantastic.

The defence has been poor. Rafael has slipped a few times and the back 2 look a bit frail at times. Still we've been the better team for a while.

Yet again, Anderson showing how ridiculously accurate he can pass the ball, it's just the weight he puts on the ball.

Like I said in the Henriquez thread yesterday or so, if Rooney leaves, then I'd love to see Henriquez become our 4th striker. He's one talented fecker.

Henriquez with some great work.

Finally the moment I've been waiting the entire pre-season for
