Ajax Cape Town vs. United [Preseason Friendly]

For all the shit talked about him Bebe maintains his impressive goals-to-games ratio.

Nice control and finish.

Powell had looked very nifty too I think

Good run out, all about gaining fitness and an hilarious goal scorer

Post Match interview Fergie: We don't need a striker we have found a gem in Bebe..

Was a pretty good finish in fairness to him, he kept composed and slotted it home, fair play.

That was all worthwhile just for the bebe goal alone.

I've never actually burst out into laughter at a utd goal being scored before now

Off twitter:

'Give it to me Bébé, aha aha, give it to me Bébé, aha aha, and Carlos Queiroz said he's pretty fly for a homeless guy'

Kagawa is like a young old scholes. Slick touches, ghosting with great movement.

In a few years time when his body slows down he can be the old Scholes of today, quarterback midfielder..

Loved the way Lingard and Tunnicliffe injected some much needed urgency to our play. Soon as we went behind we finally woke up. Lingard was class again.

Well done to bebe for getting his goal but it does piss me off no end he gets game time instead of players like Petrucci.

Credit to Vermijl's as his run for goal was good.

Powell and Kagawa look very promising.

When the ball hits the goal it's not solskjaer or cole itsa bebeeeee

Powell looks promising. Kagawa looks like a great player.

That was miles better than the game the other day. Cape Town made it into an actual contest.

Kagawa and Scholes were fun once they began to play off each other. Anderson to a lesser extent too but he brought his random cannon launch foot with him. Kagawa was the best player on the pitch by a huge distance.

I thought Hernandez's touch and general play was shocking, until Bebe came on and made it look comparatively good...and then scored.

Have to say I'm not really impressed by any of the young players thus far. Lingard is probably the pick of the bunch, but that's because he's the only one other than Blackett who's shown any kind of ability on the ball at all. They've been thrown in a bit, but the two other lads in defence, on the ball, need to be doing more than just taking 5+ seconds to pick out the person 5 yeards away from them every single time they pick up possession.

Really impressed with Kagawa
A long way to go, but can't wait to see how he'll gel within the first team, think he's going to be an important player for us

No. Unless you have nothing to do and want to watch Kagawa's full debut. He did well.
The match on the whole was boring.. till the last 5 minutes

second half was good. We went up a gear or so, Kagawa become more prominent and there were more changed either end.

I didn't get to see it either (was sea fishing since I know you're all curious), if only there was some way I could see it. Although I'd hate for anyone to PM me some illegal download, that would be horrible.

Sea fishing was a much better way to spend your afternoon. Catch anything interesting?
