Ajax vs. Manchester United

We're playing fine, just lack that execution especially in the final third.

And that's mostly down to two of our four main attacking players coming back from a long lay off and the third not getting a lot of games recently. I honestly think the second half will be brighter for us, especially considering we seem to have purposely kept the pace of the game slow in the first half and not really pressed Ajax on the ball.

Nani with shocking rust. Really liking what I've seen from Fabio. With both wingers so poor its putting all the load in the center. Change Young out at the half.

And this announcer is maybe the worst I've heard. And that includes all the crap announcers here in the states.

How's Young supposed to get back into a rhythm if you sub him when he needs minutes.

Andy's blaming the FA for that non-penalty.

Christ, that's a pen surely?

Another injury to celebrate three players coming back from injury?

Refreshing to see a team only take short free kicks against us.

Poor half. We posed no danger at all. If our only aim here is not to concede then we've played fine.

Rio could have conceded a free kick there.

Largely frustrating first half, both wingers look rusty and we're lacking spark in the final third. Cleverley looks like he's never been out, though.

Any of the stat geeks; I'd love to see Cleverley & Carrick's passing stats for that half.

I thought that was a foul. Your man made a meal of it but Rio caught him and got nowhere near the ball. Possibly just outside the box though.

Excellent decision. Looked a penalty in real time but replay shows no contact was made.

Poor half from us, they seem a bit bored.

Great bit of refereeing there! Anyway feck the team talk, the lads should just be made listen to 10 minutes of that commentary. I bet if they did that in the dressing room now we would knock seven bells of shit out of them in the second half

I wouldn't say we've posed no danger at all, there have been a few moments where we could have scored.

Wait for Ajax to get tired, up the pace in the second half, profit.
