Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal Player

City or Chelsea. All it takes is for Sanchez to kick up a fuss and down tools.
I doubt City will be able to buy him and keep in line with their FFP restrictions and I don't see Chelsea going for him when they can get someone like Reus for much cheaper.

Got this feeling by september 2017 (or right after the Russia WC at the most) he will be a Manchester United player and will win the Ballon d' Or with us.

Cesc_mullet should have his tagline changed to 'wants to have Sanchez's babies'.

Or just change my username to Jugadorazo's Shorts!

Truthfully I haven't been this excited or impressed with an Arsenal player since Henry. This includes Fabregas, and my favourite player (outside of Arsenal, prior to signing) Ozil.

Why aren't any of our star players doing what this guy is for Arsenal? the last time I remember a player carrying us was RVP two years ago. We seem to have a ton of players that can potentially do it, but just aren't.

He is some player indeed. Very jealous.

To be fair you don't really want a player carrying a side. I hope that Ramsey, Walcott and the newly bulked up Ozil comes back fit and firing ASAP because god knows Sanchez needs a hand.

Sometimes you do need that player to grab a game by the balls. They're the difference between those 0-0, 1-1 draws on the road turning into wins. We've had too many of them.

Yeah that's very true, and no doubt that Sanchez is that player who can turn those games around for us.

Though I mean that it's not healthy for a side to be carried by one player, as if that player goes down with an injury you're obviously in trouble.

We shouldn't need Bale. We're fielding enough match winners on the pitch, that are for whatever reason not living up to potential.

I don't think we have a match winner to be honest. Falcao is coming back from a long injury and seems to have lost pace, Rooney can be inconsistent at times, RvP hasn't looked his peak self for a good time now and Di Maria is a creator not the one who gets you 30+ goals.

Mata used to be a constant goal threat for Chelsea. I can remember him picking up the ball in the final 3rd against us and shitting bricks. I agree with the opinion on Falcao and RVP has still been the closest we've had to a match winner, but obviously nowhere close to what we once expected. Di Maria should be winning us games with his trickery, pace and creativity, I don't think he was ever expected to score many goals here. For whatever reason, he's trying to do his best possible impression of Nani at the moment.

His goal against Man City was just fantastic. He does lookaway passes like Ronaldinho used to. Also he's such a great dribbler. Left more defenders on their arse this season than anyone in the Premier League for the past few seasons. It's a shame most of our defenders are on their arse most of the time.

Excited to see him and Ozil in action. I have a feeling this will be a great partnership.

That goal against Gala looked to be a sign of things to come.

I believe Ozil will benefit from the attention being on Alexis. Far too often last season he got shut out of a game because the opposing team gave him lesser space than he was used to.

I would say Hazard's ahead of him for dribbling, but his finishing is way better than Hazard at the moment. He finishes like a really competent striker.

The first goal against Stoke last weekend was very, very good. Not really a lookaway kinda thing, but he sort of teed up for the far post and suddenly went for near post.

Always better when talent is spread around the squad. Ozil looks fitter and stronger physically. Hoping that translates to better performances.

Probably true. To be honest, I've been avoiding Chelsea matches because Cesc, so I'm not qualified to compare Hazard's dribbling with that of Alexis. :)

He drops his shoulder as if he's going to move one way and then goes another. I've seen way too many defenders fall for it this season for it to be a lucky coincidence. He did it for the Stoke goal as well. Reminds me of the days when we had Bergkamp and Henry in the squad.

Ozil definitely looks more solid than he was last season, which should help him with tussles for the ball and keeping the ball under pressure.

I remember reading a stat earlier this season (pretty sure after his injury) that stated Ozil had played about half a dozen games with Walcott in total so far, which is crazy as those two would benefit the most from each other's games.

Having a fully fit Ramsey, Walcott and Sanchez must have Ozil licking his lips. Not to mention the pace of Welbeck and the Ox too... Plenty of players that make runs, so no more Ozil looking up to see stagnant players wanting the ball passed to their feet.

Could be true. Ozil was at least a decent player back at Real, actually he was excellent but because of the pace in front of him to pass through to. He originally had Giroud up top, totally different. Now he has Walcott back, Welbeck, Sanchez and Ox to get onto his passes, will be interesting whether he can back to his old form.

Sanchez has not scored away since the defeat against Swansea on November 9th and 14 of his 18 Arsenal goals have been at the Emirates.

Important game for Arsenal and Sanchez today. For the amount of praise he's had, with a few suggesting that he could be player of the season you'd expect him to perform well. He was awful in his last big away match against Liverpool.

After his time at Barcelona, even considering his great last season there, I was thinking City may have dodged a bullet not signing him for however much we were supposed to be - upwards of £40m if I recall correctly. Looks like he'd have justified the price. I'd have him as the league's best player this season.

At the time it became official that he'd signed for Arsenal I suggested on here that he wasn't a big-game player. With only one(?) goal vs the top sides I wouldn't say that I've been proven wrong. He's done brilliantly otherwise though and I don't know where Arsenal would've been without him. But he needs to improve in the bigger games if he's going to be the player that Van Persie was for us or Suarez was for Liverpool.

I don't think he's as good as Aguero, and I don't think Sanchez deals too well with the bigger pressure of playing for a team expected to take the league.
