Amad Diallo signs for Manchester United

Ole will wait two minutes before the end to give him his debut, as usual over cautious, he showed great talent under 23 so give him at least 15 min to show what he can do and also avoid getting an injury from Rashford or Martial.

He won’t get on but that’s fine. Got to experience the match day so it won’t be long before he gets a chance

I want to see him get 15 minutes.

Anything is better than Martial.

That was a nice move. Almost came off

missed that completely, and it actually makes sense.

so we could finish the match with only 3 outfield players completing the match?!

Doubt it'd ever happen but could actually be just 2 if 5 standard subs, 1 extra time sub and the 2 concussion subs were used

if he cant get in this type of game then Ole clearly wont bring him on in the Premier League

I remember a manager putting on 17-year-old Macheda and 18-year-old Welbeck against Aston Villa during a close title race.

On the other hand, Amad coming on today against West Ham in the FA Cup 5th round was just too risky for Ole.

He was better off on the bench than joining in that shitshow of a match

I just hope he plays Friday night and has a stormer again.

Europa League next Thursday, think we'll know if he's going to be on the bench or at least travelling for that if he plays next Monday for the u23s.

I think we had injuries at the time?

Rooney and Scholes both suspended and plagued with injuries as well so not like there was much choice attacking wise at the time.

I wanted to see Amad as well but all it needed was some clogger for West Ham booting him off the pitch to set him back confidence wise plus we were never really chasing the game despite going to extra time so no desperate measures needed.

Would have been great if we had seen him at the end today. Rashford and Martial couldn't even run anymore.

It's disappointing he didn't get some game time here. The one forward who was actually playing quite well got taken off so it isn't as though he would've done any worse.

Still, Ferguson had no problem subbing the youngsters in for two players with more experience.

Our forwards today were underwhelming all game, and two of them completed the 120 minutes.

Can't understand Ole at times, his loyalty to some very out of form players is baffling. 10-15 minutes of Diallo would have been a great kick up the backside for the other attackers to show there's someone looking to take their place.

Ole gave a 17 year old Greenwood his debut, so don't think he's any issues sticking in the young lads. Amad's only been at the club 5 minutes, he'll get his debut soon enough.

Is this another VdB thread? I don't deny I was looking for the moment he's sent on the pitch as well but cmon. Ole decided for experienced player instead. The lad will get a chance, he will have to wait for it.

Solskjaers reasoning probably was that he'd bring him on if we'd get a 2-0 lead cushion.

If he'd sub Martial up 1-0 and West Ham would score and bring it to pens it'd put unnecessary pressure on Amad for his first start.

Still would have liked to see him but the senior players are at fault here for not tucking this game in bed when they should've.

We were chasing a must win game, that's when you just throw on all available attackers. You don't really throw on green attacker when you need to retain defensive solidity. Rashford at the very least will track back and also have the experience to retain the ball once we were ahead. Rashford still also got the all important assist...

Would have been great, but we had no subs left.

I'm not sure if AWB was injured or just needed the rest. Brandon did better than I feared, but at the time I did wish he saved that sub for a possible late game cameo by Amad.

Yeah my thoughts exactly too and at least he has finally had a taste of being in the matchday squad which is a positive
