To the world of football it will. I don't know if you are just following the Premier League, but he is a great player and a player that will be a regular for Spain for years to come.
I kind of wish I had your view on Herrera though, because you are in for one hell of a suprise. Like signing him twice.
For me he is just decent, and quite possibly light weight to play in the EPL.
Paying nearly 30 million for a talented spanish midfielder (with most reports suggesting that we're now going to focus on signing another midfielder to compliment him) is definitely a statement of intent.
Everyone knows this is our main weakness and we look set to fix it this summer, at last (touch wood and all that).

He was one of La Liga's best midfielders this past season, and is a young player with lots of room to grow. Is also better than any of our current midfielders. He's not Iniesta but he is a good, quality midfielder. And you don't have to be Yaya Toure's size to be a good player in the EPL.

Like I said I am very happy with this transfer, I am just stating that it will not suffice, we still have many areas to address and that still includes another midfielder who is at least on Herrera's level if not better.

I don't get this obsession with all this lightweight bullshit. Mata, Oscar, etc, are all as skinny/lightweight as they come yet they dance around defenders bullying them left right and centre scoring goals and assisting.
