He had a decent game which improved radically in the second half. Im still concerned that we weren't able to dominate Scuntrope though. They had too many chances for my tastes.

Too early to pass judgment on Ando's performance. He looked quite rusty out there. Big season for the lad. He's going to need a good deal of luck and some hard grit to get his career back on track.

I thought Gibson was very poor, one of his worst games in ages. Offered nothing at all, defensively. Wouldn't blame Anderson for Scunthorpe running through our midfield for fun.

Im not blaming Anderson at all.

The only thing I'd blame Anderson for are his hollywood passes, none actually worked last night resulting to an opposition Counter attack.

Not fit yet, and certainly more explosive and has more pace than this...

We know what the lad is capable of but this is a match to forget for me...

Hopefully he'll play against a big name player and start putting em' in his pocket again.

Played well and great to see him get a full game under his belt.

Would you put him in the run on side vs. Bolton this weekend for a bit of continuity?

I think he might just play considering we have Valencia away midweek where we need a result, we might have to rest Scholes at Bolton.

Watched the game after the fact and reading some thoughts on his performance.I thought he looked okay against Scunthorpe.

Midway through the first half, we cleared a corner and Anderson motored down the left wing - he was quick and when he swung the cross over - it was a couple inches away from reaching Chich streaking down the right.

Would like to see more of that from in terms of just moving ahead with the ball, he's got power, pace and skill to drive through teams. Didn't look heavy in the way he played but, as usual he simply can't get the right weight on a several passes. The vision/thought is always there - just needs to translate some how to getting the ball right.

He's too fat.

What he needs to do is actually manage to play a game for 90 minutes without looking like he's about to have a heart attack for once.

He has the potential to be a good player but he will never replace Paul Scholes and what we need is a cm who can replace Paul Scholes.

Paul Scholes is irreplaceable.

What we need is a CM good enough to play regularly in our midfield when he's gone, because there's nobody out there who can do what he does.

Anderson can potentially do that, if he loses his man boobs

It's unsurprising though. Gibson isn't a holding player. He plus Anderson doesn't make alot of sense as a 2 man partnership.

Where the hell is he?

We need him back. We need his creativity and drive because Scholes can't play every game.

He needs to sort his game out. This can only happen with games.

Anderson is a top talent though. The more he'll play the more likely he is to become the player he can.

Oh yeah. For sure. But he isn't going to solve our problems immediately as the poster was suggesting.

Infact I'm sure everyone will be slagging him off after a poor match again.

You really never know with young players. The way Nani and Ronaldo became so good so quickly, you never know. Sometimes it just begins to make sense for them.

He will give up another option to try. Let's not hope he is going to tear a new one to the opposition.

The player who doesn't play is always you one you miss the most, really. Anderson could have disappeared in that midfield today as well.

Still, when he's on song he does have the energy we could have used to actually take control of the ball and drive forward, which Scholes does with his passing, and Fletcher only does on occasion.

Bale as well, that was overnight!

Pop quiz. Can anyone remember the last league game with Anderson in the starting line-up where we played well? Cause I'm struggling.

Goes without saying he's got a lot of potential but expecting his return to suddenly transform us (in a good way) has got to be based on hope more than expectation.

The return of Scholes will have a much bigger impact.

The hype of Anderson is dead and he offers extremely little. It is like playing with 10 men, the way he hides from receiving the ball and points to where it should go.

The midfield needs a major shuffle, with a run of games for Obertan in the hole and the return of Cleverley.

Wet ham when he fecked his knee up.

Nani was as creative as Park a year back.

Absolute bullshit.

Nani Premiership 2009-10 3 goals 10 assists add 3 CL assists = 13 major assists.
Park Premiership 2009-10 3 goals 1 assist add 0 CL assists = 1 major assist.

Do you actually watch football?

This is how I felt about Park until about two weeks ago. Fair play to the guy in really up-ing his game. Lets all hope Anderson can push on and don't forget he's a hell of a lot younger than Parky.
