Anderson

It's a strain somewhere which means a few weeks. Hopefully he'll be back before Christmas.

He'll look really unfit for a few games before starting to look promising and then get injured again. Totally pointless.

Whats his fault here?

It's not his fault, but sometimes you have to look at circumstances beyond his control as to weather or not he is going to make it. He can't be relied on to play 2 games a week.

That to me for a central midfielder is a liability considering how much stability you need there, he brings excitement every so often when he is fit yes but it isn't enough.

He has the status on here that Hargreaves had, love him for the effort and type of player he is but ultimately will probably have to be let go because he couldn't get/stay fit.

This is fecking ridiculous. Whenever he gets on a run of games, he gets injured. Hope he's not injured for a long time

Just gutted when he had to come off. Best midfielder in our team so far despite only recently getting a proper look in.

Hopefully it's just a twinge

I thought it was his knee too, probably same injury like in last two seasons, feck.

Anderson? Injured? Never!

fecking stupid decision to rely on him staying fit again. Wrap him in cotton wool all season, have to endure Scholes/Giggs midfield two's to 'protect' Ando, then when he finally does play, he gets injured anyway.

Fantastic work all round.

If there's any kind of medical problem with Ando again we need to take advantage of the next transfer window and deal with the central mid question once and for all.

Fletcher just doesn't have it any longer.

Jones could become a midfielder, but it's not going to happen soon enough to help us this season.

Scholes and Giggs have age issues.

Carrick - Scholes
---- Giggs ------

Joking aside, please.

Cleverley definitely needs to be in there, same for Carrick (just because we have no real choice). That's not good enough, need a third.

I wouldn't mind Powell getting a shot.

Yups, different from last Summer, it is now clear Fletcher and Jones won't be contributing soon enough, Giggs and Scholes have stopped contributing earlier than expected, and Ando remains a sicknote.

No way we can wait until the Summer, we are all over the shop.

Fergie took another gamble again this year. Last year he brought back Scholes to bail him out of not buying a midfielder. This year again he risked it. Fletcher doesn't seem right, Anderson is again injured. This leaves two old timers who are past it. So only Cleverley and Carruck are our most reliable midfielders.

Doesn't sound like SAF was asked about Anderson in the post match interview.

Anderson being injured will just make it worse, and I know he hasn't played much in the league but we all feared this would happen. He shows great potential then breaks down, it's happened every season since he's joined. Now we are left with Carrick who has been out of form, 2 near 40 year olds who should not be starting premier league games for us, and Cleverley who is obviously very talented. Fletcher shouldn't be near the starting line up right now. Rooney has been playing deeper than usual, which is also something I hope is short term because he's much more of a threat further up the pitch.

Hamstring injury

Out for the next match, I'm guessing. For feck's sake, our injury record is ridiculous

At least not the fecking knee. Hamstring injuries can happen. Still a big blow as it's probably going to mean 4 weeks out.

Definitely out for City then :(

Hope it's not a Nani style hamstring.

He was just about to reach a level he's not yet shown here, and then this happens :(

He was great in he first half.

Word is that it's a hammy. Minimum four weeks, I would think, and that probably on the optimistic side.

And then add some time for getting back into proper physical condition.

Btw, I hope we start playing him more as our most advanced midfielder in the midfield of three. Think that's his best position. Some of his interplay with Young was excellent.

It's just so frustrating. He has been great in most of his appearances this season. Such shit luck.

And what a great first half he had. Only player not to give away the ball at the very first moment, good runs, good passing, cracking goal.

His injuries are so frustrating :(

Hamstring injury. Out for "a few weeks"

Hamstring is usually 5-6 weeks. I just hope Fergie sticks with him when he is healthy again. Usually after his injuries he gets shelved until the league cup or some meaningless matches.
