Anderson's always been one who's hugely capable of opening teams up with his ability to drive into space and forceful passing, there's very few players in our team that can do it as well as him.

Shows that he have missed him, a lot of murmurings about how his potential impact was being overrated just because he was injured.

I've always pointed out that he makes some terrific through balls and that was once again evident today. He made 3 brilliant through balls.

Excellent display, his forward runs from the centre is something that we have been lacking. Hopefully he gets some consistency now.

He was fantastic today. The way he runs the ball up the pitch from defensive third to attacking third is brilliant, and he also made some incredible through passes. I just hope he keeps a place in the team now and we get to see some regular form from the lad.

I thought you were the one always complaining about his passing? Or was it pogue, or Mockney?
One of you three don't rate his passing and I think it is you TOP.

Top loves Anderson and I've no idea why you'd confuse him with Pogue or Mockney, you weirdo.

Anyway I thought it was generally accepted he had a great eye for the killer ball, even by his critics?

I actually think his one touch passing is good, sure sometimes he tries a difficult short pass (the ones where you try and force the ball through even though theres a few players who could cut it out) but i like to see a player who is trying to get the ball forward. All i have to say about Anderson is i have a lot of time for the lad as i think he has the attibutes to become a real midfield powerhouse, he just needs a consistant run in the team and not just a game here and there.

Hes looked good today, and maybe its just me but he seems to have lost a pound or two

Hat's off to him today, he was superb and I do think he looks a little lighter. He needs to get the games to push on from this and not just go back to the bench.

You're a poor stalker, Championo. I'm a borderline fanboy when it comes to Ando.

I've always laughed at people who say he isn't capable of quality passing. No one can however deny that his passing has been very erratic for about a year now, and he has a tendency to overhit the long balls when he's not calm.

His through balls have however been consistently great since he came here, and he is more than capable of hitting people from a distance like he's showed both today and against Rangers with that terrific ball for Hernandez.

He was brilliant today.

Yeah, most people can see that he's got quality vision.
It is however interesting that his through balls are often of very high quality - considering how erratic the rest of his passing game has been the last couple years.

I agree, quite weird, but when I first signed on here, someone was so anti Anderson, but I don't remember who now. I stand corrected.
Must be Pogue or Mockney.

Christ.

The 4 passes he misplaced weren't exactly easy either.

That's over a 90% completion rate - bloody amazing, considering some of his passing was spot on.

I'm a millionaire because I've given myself a dime every time someone mentions him over-hitting his passes.

Terrific performance from him. Alongside Berbatov and Nani our best player on the pitch.

Take that you cnuts.

Well let me be a wet blanket. He still needs to learn how to shoot. He can be an adequate replacement for Scholes. They should keep him at practice till he corrects it.

More of the same please anderson. Those passing stats are incredible as was his pass for Nani's goal.

Another good sign is that he completed 90 minutes and didn't look his usual collapsing with tiredness self.

This is what potentially he and Carrick can do, that Carrick and Fletch can't... that extra bit of invention, forward drive, skill.

Lasted the entire match, and the blubber definitely has not taken away his little burst of speed.

That was the Ando we saw when he outdueled Fabregas way back when...
