So no one agrees that he looks very overweight?

Its not like it effects his mobility in any way is it? He's got fantastic pace and power. He's just very stocky just like Maradona was, didn't harm him.

Just because he isn't lightweight like Modric...

I trust him anywhere outside the opponent's 18yard area.. his end product, if he has any, is simply shit. Nice try thinking he was ronaldinho on that one run.

Anderson played really well and laid on two good chances with through balls as well as running with the ball.

Only black mark against him is his finishing. His was probably the best chance of the half and the finish was weak.

Is he overweight? Yes or no?

United check the players fitness every week, weight body mass etc do you honestly believe they would let a player that is massively overweight to enter the pitch?

Is he overweight? Yes or no?

How on earth do you expect someone to answer that without having seen him on the scales? He looks exactly the same as he always has.

Disagree. His end product is with playing through balls and alongside Rooney he's looked the most likely of laying a chance on for someone. If Berbatov had not had such a poor half, Anderson would probably have had a couple of assists. He's looked creative tonight, as has Rooney.

If he was deemed overweight by our team of physios, sports scientists and coaches then he would simply not be allowed to be playing first team football let alone champions league football. Its his natural shape just.

nah Casano played for Madrid while being 5kg overweight or something?

that could be horribly wrong

Is he overweight? Yes or no?

You really don't get it do you.

The lad is stacked full of muscle. Did you know that many of the top Rugby players are considered medically obese? It doesn't stop them running non stop for 80 minutes, some of them can run sub 5 minute mile and sub 11 second 100m.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anderson's BMI said he was dangerously overweight. But I bet there isn't an ounce of fat on him.

But he didnt play for us...different team and different player = no comparison. Thats Madrid and how they do things...

Do you really think SAF would play a 5kg overweight player no matter who he was, what he has won and how big his reputation is? I don't think it counts for anything when you're as experienced as Fergie

Brilliant performance, ran the show was our only real bright spark in midfield a performance made even better by the fact he had a donkey alongside him all night, lovely goal to well deserved.

Deserves a run in the side, hes been excellent the last 3 matches hes started.

feck off with the overweight bollocks for crying out loud, he's a stocky lad and he always will be, he's never going to look like Nani.

MoTM tonight, bloody brilliant performance.

Maybe that performance against Blackburn was infact the turning point in his career... Still early days but it was nice to see a midfielder play the ball forward and his name wasnt Scholes

That's 3 matches in a row now where he's been one of our best players.

Very similar to the beginning of Nani's turn-around a year ago.

It looks like the shackles have come off Ando. He's always been taking chances with his passing but now he's also taking chances with his runs and staying forward. The "Hasn't improved since he got here" soon won't hold much water if he keeps playing like this.

Anderson was a prominent figure in attack for us all night, he was constantly looking to get forward, worked very hard & thoroughly deserved to get on the score sheet, with out doubt MotM tonight. I'm delighted for him.

One of my highlights this year was the 7th v Blackburn when Anderson just took the ball and ran at the defense before laying it off to Berbatov. Anderson had to have accelerated past 3 players

That's 3 games in a row where he's been very good. Brilliant against Rovers, absolutely fantastic today as well. If only he and Fletcher could learn how to play together now.

Anderson needs to be more intelligent in terms of managing himself through a game. He hit the usual 70 minute wall today, after which point, his performance dipped off quite drastically.

He should be a bit more economical in the use of his energy in the early parts of matches.

Well done, Anderson. Played quite well in our last 2 important games, and scored too, and hope he can build on it. He can play much better, but if this is the start towards it, I have no complains.

It's so fecking annoying that some people couldn't get out of their agendas and recognize a genuinely good performance by a player.

Excellent performance by him today, are we seeing a Nani like turnaround from him?
