Valencia should never play anywhere but on the right flank. Never.

He's in superb form at the moment. Great in defence and attack. It makes it all the more frustrating when he appears to hold himself back.

his one-footness is killing me.

There was moment towards the end he could've taken a shot with his left, but choose to switch ti his right and has to carry the ball away from the box.

Other than that he was brilliant.

I thought he was probably our best player on the day(along with Carrick, as usual). Great crossing, provided width, tracked back and understood the importance of actually keeping possession in the dying embers of the match.

It frustrates me sometimes but at the end of the day I'd rather have a player who can cross brilliantly with his right foot and not at all with his other than a player who can't cross with either foot.

He and Rooney were our most dangerous looking players going forward. He is in a great vein of form. Lets hope he is continually played on the wing where he belongs.

Valencia to Rooney's head = goals.

What's remarkable about Tony V is that nine times out of ten, you know exactly what's coming when he receives the ball and yet he still manages to launch those scintillating crosses.

he was brilliant today, I hope we stop using him as a right back, ten times the player when used as winger.

On form he is really good. His weakness is obvious, he cant exploit good situations where he cant use his right foot

feck off with the 'one footed' stuff. We all know he is one footed just like so many other ones.

Fact is, he has dominated many games for us. He has routinely made Ashley Cole look like an idiot. Beast of a player for us.

He's more one footed than most though. I don't think he'd even shoot at an empty goal with his left for fear of missing. If he could occasionally just swing his left foot at the ball just for the heck of it, it will give defenders so much more to worry about.

That being said, he's probably our best crosser of the ball since Beckham and Neville. Great to see him back to his best!

He's always going to be one-footed. The important thing is that he carries a threat when he comes inside. He was good today but they only had to worry about him pelting to the byline - when he checked, he almost always ended up laying it back. At his best, he plays incisive balls into the box from that position.

Valencia or Nani, as a matter of interest? Just wondering the common consensus. I assume Nani, but I think Valencia is a superb player.

Nani is better, but Valencia's form is better. Thrilled we have both.

It's not a coincidence that Rooney score a lot more goals from open-play when Valencia is playing compared to when Young was playing there

He works very hard and is a real example of making the most of what you have, if he had the ability to use his left foot he'd possibly be deemed world class, but the amount of times he turns back on himself when good options are on for a left foot pass or shot is frustrating.

It's the same as Egil Olsen said on Norwegian TV about Kanchelskis in the early 90's when asked about the same thing...Kanchelskis simply playing the ball to the right of the defender and running past him

He replied something like that - "you know what is coming, you know where it's coming - but you don't know exactly when it's coming!" - to sum it up, it doesn't help to know it if you aren't quick enough to prevent it :)

Not sure what you mean? Young's been playing left wing. It's been Valencia or Nani on the right.

I am saying - both Nani and Young move inside as often as possible to possibly get a shot on target themselves. Valencia put in crosses - good crosses!

Ah but Kanchelskis had a gem of a left foot too...made him so much more devastating...see, the criticism of valencia's lack of a left foot is not that he's shite because he doesnt have one..he's great, but, the criticism is more of wondering how much better as a player he could be if he had a left foot. Most of the world's best players have two great feet, zidane, ronaldo, kaka, nani (obviously there have been some extremely one footed ones as well), but the point stands, he'd be amongst the best in the world if he had a left foot i reckon.
