I'm not, he seems to be a player that needs to build up a head of steam and keep it going for his form to stay. The Equadorian Express.

this - and he missed a fair chunk of the season - he'll be absolutely fine

if we can get Nani back on form..........

 Is that an actual quote?? Please say yes... (I can't view that video, whatever it is)

I do love the robotic emotionless bastard....

I'm pretty sure he played against Barcelona in May...

I didn't expect something like that from him, too arrogant.

It's what I thought. Uncharacteristically arrogant. He's usually very humble.

Yup, he's sure met him (his most difficult opponent) against Barca in the CL final. In fact, he was made to look like technically insufficient and looked absolutely shellshocked by their skills and class on the ball as well as the pressing.

He's been great against practically everyone else though.

our best player right now, carry on your good work, Antonio.

Perhaps he should play Barcelona more then once to claim they are most difficult opponent he came across. You can't judge someone by only one match in which your whole team underperformed and opponent controlled match from first to the last minute.

Ok, so that's official, it was a poor interview and he should have been asked: "Who was your most difficult opponent you've played against at least twice when your team performed well and opponents didn't control match from the first to last minute?"

Fabio was superb.

Not exactly arrogant, I think; he's more like trying to test himself.

He did have a tough match vs Baarcelona in May, though, and I remember Evra keeping him quiet once.

If he said he didn't meet opponent so difficult to cope with perhaps he wants another shot against Barcelona before he claims they are his thoughest opponent. For the teams he played multiple times there's obviously not one fullback that stuck in his mind as someone that gives him hard time whenever he plays against him.

Doesnt mean we underperformed.

See that's the reason I don't post more because can't explain my thoughs the best way I want (I hate English grammar).

I meant they controlled match which means they outplayed us, overrun us completely and by that we underperformed, meaning we didn't perform on our usual level because of their supremacy.

:lol::wenger:

Its just a fun/light hearted quote by Valencia. He is very humble.

Can't understand people with "uncharacteristic/Unlike him/arrogant"

For Enrique being a beast of LB - Valencia certainly caused him problems. If that was Evra that had let his player go by him at the 30 second mark in that video, he'd have been vilified for letting him go onto his stronger side. Sometimes very good players will beat an equally good player, that's football.

Anyhoo - I love that quote people are saying it's arrogant and didn't expect it from him. I think it's fantastic he is showing that confidence.

I've got no problem with any of our players having a bit of arrogance. It's clear his "trouble" earlier this season was a lack of confidence in beating his man so over confidence will do him some gone.

When exactly?

He has been amazing since he started playing on the wing again, so I don't know what you mean, to be honest.

Nah come on, he's been great for te last few months but for whatever reason he was very poor in the first few months of the season.

You think so because he was our first choice right-back and Young and Nani were in top form...

In fairness, he didn't really start playing well until late October/November. Refused to take anyone on at all early on, and I guarantee he didn't start & finish more than 5 matches at right back in that period.

The fact that this guy gets moved to RB when Nani or whoever else come on to the right wing just shows how important he is sometimes

The move to RB was what started his brief run of poor form. Once he got back into the swing of things on the flank he didn't look back.
