That was my worry really - I'd hate to see any of that compromised. The Premiership's a pretty unforgiving place so I'd not hold it against him if he held himself back a bit on his return. Will be really interesting to see him back, can't wait.

Sure, but it's also a bit unrealistic, is it not, to simply put Hargreave's current absence down to simply his hamstring? I'm sure there's added complications too with him...

We would've been updated. SAF always give us updates on his progress (or lack of) when asked and he hasnt had anything to say, which assumingly means he hasnt had a reoccurence of his knee injury.
What's your point? That Hargreaves' knees are 100% again and it's merely a hamstring pull keeping him out?
I don't believe that for a second - he's mired in all kinds of complications I'd imagine, he's been out for ages meaning it was very, very serious in the first place and will be very difficult and complicated to make a come back.

Nani and Valencia on the wings and their respective bests would be a great great sight. As good as Nani can be, we've become a little too reliant on him. Would be lovely to have two wide men running at defenders and making them look silly. Giggs is great but he usually comes in and playmakes,

But I bet Rooney and Berbatov will tell you he practically never crosses the ball compared to Valencia.
Recently saw a sat of the amount of goals (might just have been League) Rooney scored last season virtue of Valencia. It was really quite low 4-5 something like that.
Considering Rooney was pretty much our only striker last year I would have thought it would be more. Particularly considering some of the rhetoric typed on here about how great Valencia and Rooney’s understanding is.
Nani already has more league assists (14) than Valencia did for the whole of last season (9). In fact Nani beat Valencia last season too (10) having only really played from end of Jan onwards. So this ‘Nani never crosses’ seems a little odd; I’d imagine many of those assists came from crosses. He’ll score you a lot of goals and give you a shed load of assists.

Its worth trying Valencia on the right and Nani on the left. But if Nani’s game drops back to the level it was a year or so ago then I’d be all for switching him back to the right, at the expense of Valencia.
If Nani isnt the best crosser at the club, the only explaination for his assists for the past 2 seasons is that he has Scholes-like vision and passing ability, consistantly splitting defenses with his passing ability.

Cross set up a goal against Villa(2), City, Stoke(2), Liverpool, Bolton and Everton(2).
Now, the cross for the goal against Bolton was from a free kick - but on the right wing - and one against Villa was flicked on by Obertan but aside from that they're all fairly straightforward crosses from the right hand side.
He doesn't cross as much as Valencia (few do) but to say he never crosses would suggest you have a very short memory.

Exactly. Valencias game is all about beating a man on the outside and getting a cross in whereas Nanis liable to do just about everything. People tend to forget Valencias crossing was very hit or miss in his first 3-4 months here and even throughout his first season did have his fair share that hit the first man. Theres many that would say Valencias a much better crosser than Nani. I'm still not convinced.
