His way of playing/system is ill suited to this group of players I fear.

They will qualify comfortably IMO. Iceland and Nigeria are crap and Argentina - bad as they are - are still better than Croatia too.

They're a terrible team.
They have a system that really works for them. It’s an awful style but enables them to punch well above their weight. You need to get an early goal against them as the longer the game goes at 0-0 the more their confidence grows and they will nick something from long balls or set pieces.
I think lately they have been struggling a bit, Nigeria is really dangerous, even more than Croatia imo.

We have to do catenaccio plus Messi, Aguero and Lanznii, we can´t play like Spain.

This is a team that would not even gotten close to qualifying for the WC if Messi didn't single-handedly carry them through. Their record without Messi is consistently shite (won 1 out of 7 matches or something without Messi playing in the qualifiers). Aguero never bothers to show up and actual perform for the national team. Higuain seems to be trying but either has massive stage freight in the international stage or is simply not good enough against top class defenders. Their defense and midfield are also mediocre. It's like they've gotten so used to Messi carrying them that they don't know what to do without him and when he has an off day, nobody else steps up. So many big names yet I don't see them going far.
I'm really not understanding this. Romero, Otamendi, Mascherano, Banega, Biglia, Higuain all regulars in qualification, that's pretty much half of the team right there.
Rojo is short on fitness but he will start somewhere in the back 4 given his experience.
To me only regulars that were missing were obviously Messi, Di Maria and Mercado.
You can't be listing Aguero, Dybala, Icardi etc as two of those will be on the bench.
