It's understandable that Anderson needs to 'grow up' because he's still 19, remember that. He'll learn, he has played well for the first half, although he needs to push forward more and let Hargreaves do the holding alone 'cos we're not creating enough chances. That or we stick another in centre midfield and release him.

Anderson's card brandishing was in response to some card flapping by an unseen on TV Ar$enal player which had previously also gone unpunished (which I think SAF went mental about), hence Webb's leniency, I think.

Arsenal have had the most of the ball, which isn`t surprising considering we are on their turf.

Our defence has stopped them from creating anything from free play. Hargreaves and Anderson have done well, but are probably a man short against their threeman midfield.

We`ve looked dangerous on the break and that got us the goal as well. Anderson has done great, I don`t care if he rolled a bit, it was still a nasty challenge and a deserved yellow for Fibreglass.
 
Ah, such a lovely goal. Rooney's happy, United's Happy, SAF's happy. But one thing I hope is that the players let their guard down. SAF will make sure that won't happen, but still I get worried at times.

arse where so far from being good its not even funny...negative tactics..playing five in midfield adebayor hasnt had the support he needs against us...

man united, sloppy touches, bad decisions particularly from hargreaves...anderson best player so far this half...movement from rooney up front has been great tevez and ronaldo need to get into the game. giggs is doing find but when he passes the other players touches let them down so...we got a fun game in the second half
 
Fabregas has been crap. He's lost the ball on numerous occasions and haas failed whenever he tried taking on men.
In fact he's look like the Fabregas from the 4-5 first games of the season.
 
Hehe Anderson managed to headbutt Flamini and got Fabregas booked with a dive:D

Some have gone OTT after he rolled around and asked for a card. But I would appreciate if he would cut that out in the future.

Hargreaves had an ok game, nothing special, but Anderson needs to help him out I'm afraid or else they will roll us over. And Anderson has done very well defensively wise

TBF its 3 against 2 in the midfield.Its difficult for Anderson to attack.He doesnt get the space.But yes he certainly needs to do better.

Yeah Anderson and Hargreaves have been brilliant so far, but I am very dissapointed with Andersons antics, don't want to see any of that from him.

I don't think so, Fergie knows sitting back for 45 minutes is a massive risk against Arsenal.

We did it for about 25 minutes last season and got beat, so we'll continue similarly I reckon.

Perhaps if we stick Giggs in the centre (or Carrick) for a 3 in the centre and release Anderson. We're 1-0 up, and we need to be dominating much more possesion in the second half. Having 3 in midfield would be less vulnerable since Arsenal will go all out for the equaliser.
 
Hard to say whos been better? Anderson or Hargreaves? Both have been awsome, extremely pleased with that :)

Some pretty piss poor referring early in the game really slowed down the pace of the game, which is probably a good thing for us as we seemed to struggle early on. Never a yellow for Hargreaves tho.

There will be more goals in this game, that goal by Rooney (class by Brown) will really open up the game. Expect fireworks in the second half :D
 
Arsenal will have to do more now going forward, this will open up more space for us to punish them.

This should be a great second half.
