Arsenal vs Manchester United

Oh yeah like Keown and van Nistlerooij? Winterburn and Beckham?

Oh please...... Keown jumping up and down like some baboon after RVN missed a penalty?!?!?

My advice to you.... just keep clutching at those few, meagre straws of yours, least I mention the countless times MUFC have got stuck in and the Dirty Arse have wilted quicker than a virgin in a porno movie....

P Neville kicks Viera all over the park and Reyes gets the shit kicked out of him and goes crying home to mummy...... one of MANY fun times and long may it continue.....

;)

So youre implying that they are 2 unstoppable footballing Gods are you??

Yes. That's exactly what he implied by asking a football related, discussion inducing question.

Bellend.

Howard Webb

...will be in charge of the game, despite reffing the Arsenal game last weekend.

Can't say I'm overly pleased about this. He's pissed me right off, the last few United games he took charge of.

We're not happy. Carling Cup. Gave us nothing against Liverpool from the first couple of minutes when Adebayor was taken down by Carragher when running through on goal.

Good stuff. At least he might be equally crap towards both teams, then.

Carragher seems tp have some sort of diplomatic immunity from giving away penalties, doesn't he? It's almost as though there's a Liverpool fan in charge of the FA. Oh, hold on a minute...

I know, Ive never seen anyone get away with so much shirt-pulling in all my life. fecking cnut. Anyway about the match, Im very confident. Dont know why as Arsenal are playing well, but if Fergie gets the boys up for this properly we should be too much for them. Im looking forward to being in the bar absolutely smashed with the score at 1-1, 5 minutes to go and Rooney putting one in the top corner from 30 yards!!

Jaysus, easy with the 1-1 and 5 minutes to go scenario. That will put fecking years on me!

Great that Rio is confirmed fit! My team for saturday would probably be this:

Van Der Sar
Brown
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra
Ronaldo
Anderson
Hargreaves
Giggs
Tevez
Rooney

Subs:
PIG
O'Shea/Pique
Saha(IF fit)
Carrick
Nani

Without a doubt this is our hardest game of the season. We must play our game against them and impose our authority. I suspect that the match will probably be decided by the odd goal. Hopefully we will have all our players on top form at the same time.

I'm bloody nervous already.
Not sure what type of game it's going to be. We might start it off quite cautiously playing on the counter attack. Dangerous ploy though, if Arsenal get to much time on the ball they'll brake through us.

I think Arsenal will win this one.

I beleive they have the more settled midfield which will win it for them.

Anderson is inexperienced and Hargreaves is new to the Prem and just back from injury.

One bad thing about the Boro game is that we gave the ball away too much - Rio inparticular - cant afford to do that against the Arse.

I hope are players are more optimistic than you. Have some faith, we're Man Utd, not some dodgy mid-table side who'll be phased by a nice stadium.

Why the nerves? This promises to be the best game the Premiership has seen in years. Both teams are playing fluid attacking and attractive football, it should be a classic for the neutral. Admittedly, I will be on the edge of my seat all the way through but I intend to enjoy it. I would rather that we had all of our midfield players fit but we have still got enough quality to go there and win.

Has evra been cleared to play, I did not hear anything about that. If he is its brilliant.

Arsenal is as big a game as we could get, especially with the form they're in atm. This will be the biggest test for the likes of Anderson, Hargreaves and Tevez so far. It's one thing to keep scoring against mid-table teams but quite another to play against such oppositions. After-all that is the reason Fergie bought them, for them to showcase their quality in these type of games and I hope that they take their chance with both hands and truly show their quality. I think the midfield battle will determine the outcome and Anderson and Hargreaves will have to give us their biggest game of the season so far.

that's wonderful news, a good option to Anderson and Hargreaves in case the game isn't going as expected.

I fancy him to start. Fergie was raving about his performance against l'Arse last season and he was brilliant against them for Spurs, the season before.

Carrick is a big-game player who will be fresh, fit and rested (he only injured his arm, after all). I will be very surprised if he doesn't get the nod.

Almunia: Made some class stops against Liverpool, but failed to convince on crosses. By no means a top class 'keeper and is a potential weak link in the Gunners team. 5

Sagna: Haven't seen much of him, but by all accounts he has quite a robust style. Likes to get forward and provide L'Arse with width. 7
Toure: Physically terrific, but his positional play and tactical nous are always questionable. 7
Gallas: Quality if he can stay fit. Made a sensational block against against Gerrard on Sunday. 8
Clichy: one of the best full backs in the Premier League. Classy leftback who provides left sided width. Being young, is sometimes defensively questionable. 7

Flamini: I'm amazed that he is managing to keep Gilberto out of the team, so he must be doing something right. A pretty underrated footballer and he is a pest to opposition attackers. 6
Fabregas: The media coverage can become nauseating but there is no denying his supreme talent. His goal and shot against the post against Liverpool masked a mixed performance. His poor first touch and lunge gave away the free kick to Gerrard's goal whilst he was guilty of a pretty diabolical sitter. 9
Hleb: Finally seems to be living up to the £10 million billing. Intelligent footballer who can retain the ball under pressure and deliver eye of the needle passes. Perhaps the worst in the Arsenal team for continually wanting to "pass, pass, pass... pass". 8
Rosicky: A danger man especially when he finds his range from distance. Generally flattered to deceive since arriving in England. 7
Eboue: A cock of epic proportions. But he dovetails well with Sagna to the extent that one when attacks the other comfortably slots in at full back. This will be a tough duel for our winger to win. 7

Adebayor: A player who has improved immensely this season. Seems to have adopted a more prolific streak in the absence of Terry Henry. Was a handful at OT last season and notched 2 in 2 against us. 8

= 79/110.

VDS: 8

Brown: 6
Rio: 9
Vidic: 8
O'Shea: 6

Ronaldo: 9
Hargreaves: 7
Anderson: 7
Giggs: 7

Tevez: 8
Rooney: 9

84/110.

We win on Saturday.

To be fair, they speak some sense.

i think they will beat us because we havent had any tests this season

To be honest the form that Rooney and Tevez are in right now scares me, they have peaked just at the right time to face us.

TBH, they, in my head they are favourites to win this match

:D

as long as he feels he doesn't have to make it up to ye - surely he's watched the game - he may feel he owes ye a peno

I think's it's fecking stupid that he refs the arse again

very high scoring game i think..
win 3-2.. with fabregas scoring for the arse and rooney to get a double!

speaking of rooney, i believe he has a good record in this fixture, not to mentio when he was at everton, the winner he scored for the toffees over arsenal to win 2-1 in stoppage time, that was he premier league debut, am i correct?
