For sure, but our interest in both of the aforementioned players was reported in more reputable papers. Our interest in Kroos was confirmed by Moyes - maybe he just chose Real as many players have. Likewise with Robben, any manager would be interested - doesn't mean it will happen. A journalist is only as good as his or her sources.

We'd pay £50m odd for Cavani but £34m is too much for Vidal.Except LvG really rates Vidal and has tried to sign him in the past. I don't think Vidal has rejected us either, judging by his quotes he's clearly open to the move.
If the deal is off (I doubt it) it's because either Juve or Vidal have demanded too much.

Kroos was never a target of LVG's, we had been working on him and several other targets and he decided against him.
Vidal is a LVG target, he has been quoted over the summer praising Vidal and has attempted to sign him in the past. For the Mail to suddenly claim that LVG doesn't want him seems very suspect and a total shot in the dark.
