Not being pedantic, but LVG doesnt spend any money, he coaches the players putin front of him.

LVG will have feck all say on how much money gets spent on players.

You're getting him mixed up with Hiddink.

So original GIF's are still welcome? This is good news.

Not that I'll be creating any.
I know when we started it off we wanted to retain genuinely funny, original gifs but get rid of the unfunny shite like the popcorn gif, or 50s guy clapping.

Basically if it had a genuine point or at least the potential to be funny it was okay. If it was the same old shit being spammed everywhere then it wasn't. I'm presuming it's roughly the same now.

Grand, once @Olly and co. now know this we're laughing.

I see your logic but i reckon,if i was to bet on him leaving Juve, hed head to the Catalan reshuffle.

Another poster and I discussed this earliar with he Busquets,Iniesta,Mascherano, and whatever else is coming of the Masia conveyor belt, would be thumping midfield. As for them getting 40 million to grab him, come on its barcelona.

Hopefully he stays at Juve, and van Gaal taps him up for next summer,im just a bit to grinchy about somone like Vidal happening this summer.

I don't know man, Barca already need to sell loads of players to make the funds they spent on Neymar and now Suarez back. I'd imagine the're pretty close to violating FFP themselves (though I can't see Barca suffering any repercussions even if they did). Would he really fit in Barca's system though? They don't really play with that type of energetic strong bursts forward type of player. Yaya was wasted there. Not sure Vidal would fare any better. I think Barca will probably bring in a new cm next season tbh and just continue with Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi for this season. If they sign any midfielder, it will be Koke imo.

Keep this thread as reasonable as possible you numpties, I'm bored deleting your shite. From now on just thread bans for any guff or off topic nonsense, which is practically everything, as there is nothing to discuss.

I'd imagine if Louis watched us last season then he'd have wanted assurances about available transfer funds before he agreed to take the job.

Any manager worth his salt has input into the clubs transfer dealings.

I see Nani's name being mentioned in the last pages in a swap deal. Is there some news regarding this or just pure guesses?

The thread has reached the dreaded "gif" stage.
There is no way this transfer is happening now.

Januzaj being a default starter this season (surely?) will do a lot to sort that out. It's one of those things that we could do with, but it's nowhere near as urgent a requirement as a dominant CM.

Agreed, we definitely need a CM then a CB first.
However even with Januzaj we need someone explosive who can take players on and stretch out the play.

Januzaj cant do it alone on the wings for us... Valencia, Young and Nani are all erratic/injured/useless.

Spamming of the same old shite should be limited to the General, but I'd welcome original GIF's in these threads. Some of the work creates classic threads.

Anyway, there's obviously nothing happening on the Vidal front for now, as we've been reduced to these conversations.

There'll be nothing 'til he returns from vacation, lets enjoy van Gaal's arrival 'til then.

Juventus have been interested in Nani for a while. But they are close to signing Iturbe and it seems they've lost interest.

So, what do those on this forum think will happen here: deal on or off? I'll say still on, but not as certain as it seems a few days ago.

I'd say it is more certain than ever. I did not expect the player to come out and say something but he did, and it wasn't a polite rejection , instead it was pretty much confirmation that we are indeed in for him and now it is up to the clubs. I expected the usual "i love juve my family is happy here" tripe from him but that did not happen so it looks positive.

For those who can't watch:
  • Vidal does want to come to United, he is at a great club, but 'United are bigger'
  • Negotiations are definitely taking place
  • He does think a deal will be done
  • Though says a lot needs to be sorted out IF it happens
  • United keeping cards close to chest
Also..
  • United really want players who want to come to the club. Herrera was distraught last season, they knew he wanted to. They also knew Shaw wanted to come in January so that was important for the club.

Cheers sounds positive, just hope he's right about it happening.

What changed? There were unreliable reports flying around before and this is the case even now. You believe what you choose to believe eh?
Hard to put a finger on why, but my get feel changed slightly.

Is Mitten pretty much the only 'ITK' we have ?

Seem to remember most of the stuff he has said previously on transfers has ended up being correct.

Excellent synopsis!

id say we are negotiating price. Juve want 45 million and evra/nani. we give them 35 and evra/nani. reach a compromise at 37 and evra
