Arturo Vidal

Ducker said there had been enquiries but there were no negotiations that he was aware off right now.

Same what Di Marzio said and that was a week back. He has done no updates since then.

This not in the radar business is different.

Read Jamie Jackson's tweet again, he's not said we're not interested. That was the fella working for the DM who said that.

Either way as others have stated, he's simply informing us of what he's been told. His sources for United may well by lying and he's fully aware of that.

Said he's hearing good things on Vidal, negotiations are taking place but he's not going to say he's definately signing we just have to wait and see what happens. Mentioned the club are looking for players who really WANT to play for us specifically. Herrera being one and mentioned shaw wanted to come as early as January and only wanted a move to us.
That's really incouraging. He's the nost reliable of journalists.

Also, we've heard from the beginning of this saga that he wants the move and really understands the prestige of this club. Everything looks perfect except the thing that we're concerned about his knee.

What some people don't seem to realize is that Manchester United is trolling the British press by telling them they are not interested in anybody.

There are probably only a couple of people(in media) who know what is going on.

The rest of them are being fed misinformation(intentionally) by Man UTD.

The only press that we should pay attention to are Italian, Chilean, and Andy Mitten.

Discard everyone else.

Ogden was in Brazil in the last weeks therefore he has probably little clue about our transfer targets at the moment
The fact is though that he said that we firmly ruled out any interest in Herrera the day when the Bilbao reports came out. Means we just denied everything until it was official. Same with Jackson reporting Shaw deal was off or whatever, or now this with us apparently not being interested despite Vidal himself saying we are pretty much. Is it surprising exactly that we aren't leaking real information to the media, with LvG as manager and after what happened last summer?

On one hand, a deal has been agreed and is on the verge of going through......and on the other, not only is that false, but we aren't even interested in signing him.

Someone has really f*cked up, one way or the other.

I heard and I'm not so sure how much to believe this one but apparently United have been briefing the media false information in revenge for them leaking the Moyes sacked news.

What are the English press smoking?

Don't think they're smoking anything. I would imagine that the line Jackson and McDonnell are being fed is a continuation of the line the Daily Mail/Express etc were fed yesterday (no deal, ArturOFF, too expensive etc), while Mitten's info might have come from a source/sources behind the iron curtain. All guess work on my part, but wait a few weeks and we'll all find out either way.

Going home from gym and scrolling through this thread on mobile,I'll probably bump into someone but fu.k it I'm full force in muppet zone.

So Conte resigned? Oooh yeaahhh it is so ON!!!
Good to hear it's not just me! When I am away with other ppl I at times go on the toilet just to check the transfer threads on redcafe :D

You're getting worse.

The club leaked the news re Moyes themselves.

I don't think that is the fault of the media. Can't blame them for reporting them, they should blame the leak.

Discard everyone else.

According to Caf logic, the only press we should pay attention to are the ones that tell us what we want to hear.

Discard everyone else.

Been there done that. :D

Also I remember last year's transfer window, I used to go to toilet just to check the transfers on mobile, cause it would be weird if I was holding my mobile all the tima and surfing the net at work, and my table was in front of the door so anybody, including the bosses could see if I was on the internet on PC.. Troublesome times. :D

 if we pull this off our midfield went from being dire to jizz worthy. And with Louis the first in charge.

If Van Gaal wasn't in charge I would be distinctly less comfortable than I am now.
I believe with him and a revitalized cash laden Woodie at the helm, we stand a shot at getting just about anyone who is one sale at the moment... regardless of whether we have Champions League football or not.

United are leading the Journo's up a blind alley like they did when we signed Herrera. I'm very confident this is happening after seeing the quote from Vidal and also Mitten's video.

Alex Shaw speaking sense on twitter.

reckon they are being briefed as before the medical they don't want a commotion at carrington everyday

This. We have been sending out mixed signals on purpose to keep the press from gauging our true interest in players. This is a byproduct of last year's disastrous summer window.

His tweet just hours back.

His article a week ago-

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jul/06/arturo-vidal-manchester-united-louis-van-gaal-40m

He needs to filter his sources then.

Okay, so he tweets that Vidal is on United radar this morning, nothing more. He doesn't say that there has been any negotiations just that we're monitoring the situation.

Now he tweets that there has been no contact regarding Vidal. He did not claim there was contact, simply that he's on our radar.

This is not in anyway contradicting.

Can't take that chance. And this will drag out he doesn't return to Italy until July 28th I can't see anything being announced until then if we do sign him.

The Sniejder saga really took a toll on me so I can fully empathize with you but I do feel as though we are in pole position to land Vidal...and Di Maria as well if I may add.
This summer is different.

IMO we're briefing the media this way so as to appear that we weren't (indirectly) responsible for Conte's resignation. Still on, this.

I wouldn't believe a journalist if they said we play in red and at old Trafford.
I'll wait to hear from the club
