Arturo Vidal

I think Moggi was saying that IF there was a hypothetical bid of 50mill, Juve would have to take it, rather than saying there HAS been a bid.

I have been trying to stay away from the Vidal stuff but I can't. I saw on SSN that Vidal has said something like. "I am at a great club so I will be relaxed if the Man Utd option falls through." That pretty much confirms our interest doesn't it?

I really hope there is something to the rumours. There seems to be too much talk for it to not be true.

At this rate this is going to hit 500 pages by end of this week. Hopefully it will be closed by then and a new thread created in the united forum..:D

I think Vidal is on holiday at the moment though. So I doubt anything will be completed until he returns.

I clearly think we are in for him, but have learned from last summers mistakes and we are keeping our cards close to our chests.

We don't want to look foolish again and say we are in for a player for them to dismiss us and stay or move to a different club.

So, going back to the below... we're now up to 7.4k - right in the 6-8k sweetspot where we have a 100% success record. If this drags on for another couple of days though, we'll be pushing on towards the crazy realms of 5 figures, where things get turbulent once again and it's in the lap of the gods...

I thought I'd take a look and answer my own question... here are all transfer threads for player we've been in for whihc had over 4,000 replies (as of now Vidal has 4,400):

Got
Berbatov - 19384
Herrera - 9714
Mata - 8084
Shaw - 6952
Fellaini - 6545
RVP - 6428

Missed
Thiago - 15736
Sneijder - 13667
Hazard - 8851
Ozil - 5449
Nasri(?!) - 5452
Kroos - 5333
Benzema - 4918
Sanchez (2010-11) - 4903
Lucas - 4885
Fabregas - 4270
Bale - 4148

So by my reckoning, once we get passed about 6k, our chances of signing him massively improve from about 1 in 3 to about 2 in 3.

So get posting!!! (just not about Suarez and RVP)

I was just tellin my bird that I reckon this is going to happen soon, and log in to redcafe and read the last few pages!

Not that she cares but bollocks to her! Vidal is ON!

I can't believe how Thiago managed to get so many replies. His talent isn't anywhere near worthy of so much attention. The Caf treated him like a Messi.

Horrible, just horrible

I'm guessing no one read my post far enough to the point where I said I feel like "up yours"? Screw em

Not worried about the English media saying we've not made contact, very likely to just be the club not giving them a sniff of what they're up to. I'll take Mitten's word over any of the regular journos any day of the week and the reports of Conte leaving are very promising.

So in the last 24 hours we have had:
-Vidal saying he is happy to stay at Juventus, if the move to Manchester United would fall trough.
-Mitten saying we are interested and closing in on a deal.
-Conte resigning out of the blue (having said that he didn't want to see anybody important sold and wanted a big name signing).

There is definiteley something going on, we're surley interested and Conte resigning points to the fact he had some kind of fallout with the Juve board (which could be about the Vidal transfer).

I'd say it is ArturON again !

Guys, I've not checked this since midday, 26 pages. Can someone summarise for me?

If you are saying it's on it is truly on given you are you pessimist. :D

Mitten video stating we are interested in Vidal

Antonio Conte has resigned from Juve

More red tops saying were not interested.
The journey continues, hopefully hear something tomorrow

It's ArtuON, but not right now. It i'll take a week or two till it's confirmed i think but we'll get there eventually.

I like to call myself a realist who is desperatley trying to control its inner muppet, but its fecking hard and transfer summers really are emotional rollercoasters, but after all the stuff coming out in the last 24 hours, I definitley say we are back on a highpoint again, hopefully there isn't a massive plunge waiting around the corner. :nervous:

I understand you. :)

P.s. Aren't you the guy that said to me that I'm anti Belgian in WC forum? :D

Or was it someone else.

All I have to say is that if Conte genuinely thought Juventus could afford to turn down huge bids for their players or make huge bids for player when their finaces were in a dire situaton. I mean, seriously? Nuts.
