Everyone set for 3am edition of Chilevision, Chile, Chilevision? I'm sure the Vidal transfer will be done dealio tonight:wenger:

Mitten video stating we are interested in Vidal

Antonio Conte has resigned from Juve

More red tops saying were not interested.
The journey continues, hopefully hear something tomorrow
Thanks mate.

I've never used as much Google translate in my life, as I have in the past few days

So, going back to the below... we're now up to 7.4k - right in the 6-8k sweetspot where we have a 100% success record. If this drags on for another couple of days though, we'll be pushing on towards the crazy realms of 5 figures, where things get turbulent once again and it's in the lap of the gods...

If that turns out to be a trend then we might have a correlation between muppetism and chances of signing said muppet target.

We have to beat the Berba thread.

All I have to say is that if Conte genuinely thought Juventus could afford to turn down huge bids for their players or make huge bids for player when their finaces were in a dire situaton. I mean, seriously? Nuts.

Its the same wavelenght some of their fans must have been on. Just look at the Italian competition and the transfers that are being made. Those clubs have to turnaround every penny atleast 3 times before they can spend it. Juventus is no different, all their transfers from the last couple of years have been the result from some exquisite bargain hunting, but you can't hope to sign players like Pogba every year for 300.000 euro, and deals like Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal don't come around to often either. Juve have been very lucky the last couple of years, but it had to turn at some point. Also no way players like Vidal and Pogba are going to stay stuck at that level for their entire career, not if you can't invest heavily in your squad and offer them market conform wages. This was clearly coming, yet alot of their fans believed they were an even bigger club than us now and were on the threshold of breaking into the elite list of possible CL winning clubs. Reality is they are closer to dropping off into a AC Milan or Inter scenario than that and than those fans really believed they could sign Sanchez and keep hold of Vidal, now that is turning out completley different they are having a bit of a meltdown there and Conte must have realised it is a good time to jump ship and go for that Italy coaching job.

I've been driving up and down tonight. Had a quick glance at my phone and saw Mitten video and Conte resigning.

It's so fecking on

My zipper's down.

Is everyone starting to believe me now when I say this transfer is as good as certain?

I'm not an ITK by any means, I'm just high on common sense.

Everyone is starting to belive you, until the next article or quote comes around the corner that suggests this deal is off.

Ian Ladyman can feck off. You stick with me.

If this transfer doesn't happen, I'll leave the Caf, never to return.

If he's truly not going to have anything sorted until he returns to Italy (end of July) like the quotes from Arturo said, then I shudder to think what this thread will become. Hell, it's probably all worked out between United, Juve, and the Agent, so they'll keep leaking conflicting information for the next 2 weeks just to screw with us and the media.

Or we save ourselves 500,000 on wages! #ShrewdWoody

It's simple. Vidal signing would take us from, a team with the potential to bounce back into the Champions League under Van Gaal >> Definite Title contenders under Van Gaal.

We still need another centre half.

We're at 11/2 on some sites for the league. I reckon that's worth a few quid, considering we're going to sign Vidal and probably an attacking wide marquee signing too.

I don't think it's on, nor have I ever (although I hope it is...) just thought I'd add another tenuous theory that could add weight to it being on. The British press have clearly been briefed tonight. Clear because most of them are singing from the same hymn sheet saying it's off / we aren't interested (Mirror/Mail/Guardian/Ducker) so it is clear they have been told this.

This briefing which spurred the reports tonight happened after Conte resigned. So, it could be a bargaining position from United. "Your manager has resigned because the negotiations are at an advanced state but we are no longer interested" Juve are unlikely to tell us to feck off seeing as they have lost their manager already. That is assuming Conte's departure is linked to Vidal. Juve are not going to then keep a player whose imminent departure was the reason they lost their manager. So by briefing the British press we aren't interested makes it look like we aren't bothered whether it goes through or not and consequently won't be held at ransom.

Straws. Clutching.

Pretty sure it didn't.

So Vidal wants €10m a year - £150k a week converted. Whats the tax on those earnings in England? or will his wage be £150k including tax?

We wouldn't get to an advanced stage, a point where their manager says feck it and leaves and then take advantage of the shit position they are in and take them by the testicles and say we want him for cheap.

We'd disgust the rest of Europe and people would avoid dealing with us.

We'll pay a fair price, one that we have haggled but see as fair for us.

Got that from the "tonight" part of the tweet, around half 9, which was a little while after Conte was reported as resigning. Jackson tweeted about it after Conte resigning also. Both tweets reteweeted by Ducker.

I wonder how many of these Journo's read forums and tweet shite just to watch the muppets dance.

Footballers wages are complicated. They don't get paid straight up £XXXk a week and get taxed and NI'd on it. They get a basic wage which is usually quite low in comparison and then image rights and bonuses which are paid to a company which will be based in a tax haven. So in order to get £150k after tax it might actually only coat United £200k rather than the £300k the 50% tax might suggest.

In my opinion Conte's resignation is directly linked to Vidal's impending departure.

For what it is worth just had a peep on that Juventuz forum and beside having a proper meltdown there (because of Conte leaving and Allegri likley to become their new coach), they also seem certain that Vidal to United is a done dealio now.

They've all "been told" it, none of them believe it.

Previously they would say "United not interested, Vidal is not on their radar". Now they say "we have been told Vidal isn't a target and is definitely not on their radar".

It goes to show that they don't trust their briefings anymore and are covering their backs as they are almost expecting the transfer to be announced.

They seem defeated and also resigned to losing Vidal as well.
