Isn't Moggi their ex club director? I think his just saying IF a 50M bid comes in they should accept it.

Once again, a lot of media telling us that Juve want 45M€ and United are willing to pay 35/40M for one of the best player in the world.

We paid Fellaini's hair 27M£, Mata 37M£, Shaw 30M£ and we were about to pay 50M€ for Di Maria... So really, I'm totally lost in this story.

His interview relayed by the Guardian saying that he would like to come is a good sign, but so many different waves here an there.

I'm less and less confident about him.

Conte resignation can be either a good sign for us or a bad sign...

He's the closest person to Juve that has commented on Vidal, not solid information but better than the newspaper rumours. He didn't name the club who made the bid, but good to know there has been one made.

Is he still involved in the club?

I am also Juventus fan now..... I used US in terms of people living in the Southern region of Europe. I do the same with Man United. CL > EPL title.

No, I just follow the Serie A and living a stone throw away from Italy helps. Juventus are the Real Madrid of Italy. In terms of honors they have more then we do (they have 1 CL less then us but they do compensate to that with 32 league titles, 3 UEFA and 2 UEFA Super cups). They are also passing from a great time, having won the League title 3 times in a row. So for them its unconceivable that we're able to take away their star player when we're not even in Europe anymore.

I would be pissed off if Juventus took Ronaldo from us day 1 after they got back to the Serie A.

And were you pissed off, by that I mean like have a real hatred towards Juventus, when they took away Pogba??.

As someone posted earlier,I would be more pissed off at my own club for the lack of ambition rather than the rivals, because they are stealing our players. They have every right to.

Please read the successive posts made. You will understand my line of thought and what's going behind the scenes at Juventus.

Sincere apologies for not being able to get my message through in my first post.

He's the one who placed Juventus in trouble. They probably love him as much as we love Suarez.

I thought Sneijdercafe was bigger than Thiago for some reason.
Me too, was surprised it had such a relatively small amount of posts.
Mata all happened very quickly. Thiago was great because he kept putting in MOTM performances for Spain U/21.

Reckon Vidal could top the lot if the 28th July date stands firm.
More than Berba's? Lofty heights!
I think the growing popularity of the twitter thread is become a hindrance to transfer sagas. Half my muppet posts have been in there.

That's an excellent point - I've posted more in there about Vidal than I have in this thread, myself. If the total posts from there concerning Vidal were put in here, you're probably looking at a 40%-50% increase as I see a lot of posters in there who don't even post in this thread.

What in the feck?

Vidal himself confirmed our interest. Mitten said we're negotiating. Chilean and Italian media are convinced we're close to signing him. The only people who have said nowt is happening is the British media but they've been left in the dark, see Herrera deal for example.

It won't be about money. We'll be negotiating, any club would do that, but we won't back out because of a €5m difference if we really want him.

Trouble with dithering over a few million (even if we ultimately submit and pay what they want) is it gives other clubs time to come in and swoop him up. If Vidal is definitely our number one priority, then we shouldn't take chances. Get it done ASAP then negotiate over the more 'luxury' signings such as Di Maria.

It's interesting that despite a lot of journalists being briefed that United are not interested in Vidal, none of them are running that line in articles today. I'd say it's pretty clear none of them believe that briefing.

Who's going to join the race though? Barcelona don't need him and Madrid look like they have their eyes set on Kroos although with Khedira's departure they might want Vidal as well, I doubt it though.

This. Does anybody see other big clubs and/or rivals dithering that much over a high-profile target? I'll tell you what: no way. there's no better way to cut the grass under our rivals' feet than just sending the damn money and get it done.

Don't underestimate Madrid's muppetry. They sign players for the sake of it even if they're not needed, anything to placate their ADHD fans and board members. Bayern are also an option - Yes I know Vidal has suggested he'd only move to England or Spain but I think Guardiola is a big fan and now that they've more or less sold Kroos he might try and entice Vidal.

75 pages of it is complaining about how many posts there are despite there not being any information. And another 10 of people pointing that out. Only about 115 pages of people, you know, getting quite naturally excited about the possibility of signing a player they really like. How dare they?

United aren't dithering over a few million. There are a number of motives behind clubs briefing the press about certain information. If you've watched Mitten's video, you'd know why the club briefed that there are no negotiations over Vidal and it's not because the club aren't willing to fork up an extra 5m.

When you're selling there isn't necessarily a fixed price. Sometimes a club will say "£20M and he's yours" and that's it. But that tends to be for players they want to get rid of quickly. However other times its open ended. They may have a figure in mind they'll accept as a minimum, but they're not telling anyone, and they'll squeeze more out if they can.

So going in with a high figure is pointless, because whatever figure you go in with first they'll just want a little more. If you bang £45M on the table for Vidal tomorrow, that doesn't mean the transfer will happen quicker. They'll still try and squeeze you for more. Why wouldn't they? They can take as long as they want over this. Vidal is a very sellable asset, they also have Pogba worth a tonne with a few clubs sniffing around him. They dont need the money to stay afloat. So they can take as long as needed to get a decent deal.

And if you bang a stupid £60M offer on the table as a take it or leave it, well, that just shows how desperate you are. You can claim you'll walk away but if you're offering crazy money then clearly you wont. You're just creating an auction with yourself.

That's even before you go into payment structures.

In the end the selling club holds the cards on timescales. Its nothing to do with dithering.
