General Consensus of the Juve fans: "Personally I am not convinced Vidal is staying. I won't believe it until the transfer window ends. He could easily be saying that just to appease us fans then BOOM, hes sold."

They were always going to say that because this Vidal thing has been bullshit spreading like wildfire from the very start.

That's the whole lot..

taken from @adp1113:

Marotta "We had to act really fast, because the season has already started." #Allegri
Marotta "The aim is to keep winning. Allegri was the most suitable profile. He has always won in his first year."
Allegri "Juve's call came out of the blue. I know the importance of this team."
Allegri: First and foremost I consider myself fortunate.
Allergri "The club has a prudent strategy for the mercato."
Marotta "We tried to do everything to keep Conte."
Allegri "With Pirlo there's an excellent relationship. Andrea is a champion & has always played when I was at Milan, I'm lucky to have him."
Marotta:"Conte left Juve for personal reasons, out of respect I won't get into them but had nothing to do with transfer moves"
Allegri "Andrea decided to go to Juve & after 3 years here we are, I never questioned his quality, I'd be crazy."
Marrota "Differences with regards to the mercato & Conte's willingness to stop resulted in the contract termination."
Allegri "Juventus must be among the top 8 in Europe."
Marotta "The players haven't asked for a confrontation or explanation but I called them all after Conte decided to leave."
Marotta "We have leaders on the field who are also men, we will talk to them when they return from vacation."
Allegri "Evra is a player at an International level, he has done great things in Manchester."
Marotta "We will never put Vidal on sale."
Marotta on Vidal "Players always decide their future but yesterday I checked & Vidal was happy to continue with us."
Allegri "Pogba & Vidal are fundamental players."

Doesn't change a thing whatever Marotta's said. Not gonna come out and tell the world we can have him is he?

I personally believe Vidal will be a United player in the coming weeks, Vidal himself will have to ask for the move to make it look as if they (the board) were powerless due to the players wishes.

My thoughts on Vidal, it could go either way. There is positives from the press conference, they've basically confirmed we're interested which disproves hack writers like Jamie Jackson. It could be a tactic similar to the Herrera deal, saying "it's not us it's him"

Could a deal be completed while he's vacating in Chile? Could representatives of the club fly out, complete the medical, cross the t's and dot the i's?

Of course. But then again earlier this week we had the quotes from Vidal saying he would wait till he got back from Holiday to sort it all out or something to that effect. or at least I remember reading some quote along that line, it might have been a dream though.

Putting it on the line with that prediction

Seeing as their reading, writing 'mercato' instead of market or transfers doesn't actually make you look like you speak Italian.

I reckon there's a really strong chance this either will or will not happen.

Just my hunch.

Well, it seems to me that we're still far, far away from anything concrete happening. The media knows feck all. I'm thread banning myself for the rest of the day.

He apparently said none of that. Some posters here translated the actual interview and the last sentence was added in by the twitters themselves

In the last few days there's been 3 interviews apparently. 2 with Chilevison, one with Fox Sports. And all sources, including Sport Witness how translate foreign media, as well as Sky Sports said he said that. Apparently he didn't mention United directly but since the question was about United the only inference is that he was referring 'the [United] option'.

For people who think what Marotta said means anything, when has a manager or director or owner said anything other then a player is happy to be at the club that the club wanted to keep? It's be stupid to say otherwise or that they are going to sell their best player, and they won't change that stance until we offer what they are asking.

This isn't happening. Now I'm somehow pessimistic about this after being initially very optimistic in the morning. Crap.

Well if they sell Vidal after this, you know Vidal will be deemed a villain or marotta/allegri will be shred to pieces. Doesn't look that likely if you ask me, only way is if Vidal forces his way out.

Yeah, they could avoid the subject altogether, they've basically given their fans assurances about Vidal future at the club.

Which I doubt anyway. No CL football and all that.
