Arturo Vidal

I trust in whatever LvG decides to do. If he feels he can get the best out of what we have already, then he may decide not to bother pursuing Vidal. Let's face it, the current midfield, minus Herrera and Mata, won the PL, Champions League in previous years so what's to say that LvG can't get them back there again with the addition of Herrera and Mata.

We'll know more in the next week or so once LvG has had a good look at the squad.

If the lack of Champions league is not a problem, then if we want him, he will be a United player. Especially now that the lack of money does not seem to be an issue for United and also with Carrick injured.

I'm not really bothered that it went cold for a moment. Signing big names takes time, obviously. He wouldn’t train with the team anyway.

However, I hope we solve this situation until August.

LVG is not SAF.

LVG is not SAF.

You sound like the scousers - they slagged off Fergie every opportunity when he was here, but the second he retired he became this demigod who at the end was making the team ten times better than the sum of its parts.

Plenty of players struggled to perform consistently in Fergie's last few seasons, and there were clear weaknesses too. It's not as if his departing league win was some kind of perfect managerial season.

We won the champions league 6 years ago. What our midfield did 6 years ago isn't relevant.

Can't turn back the clock

I can understand if we don't go for Vidal. He is after all a massive player but let's not say we can do with this current midfield. We desperately need to beef it up with one more signing especially with Carrick now injured.

I can't believe this thread is still open, it's not happening!!

Will one be enough? If we intend playing three in midfield, or at least having the option to, that might leave us short, certainly in terms if quality and possibly in terms of numbers. At the moment we have Carrick, Cleverley, Fletcher, Fellaini and Herrera. Then you have the players that can play there like Kagawa and Mata, but might well play elsewhere. After that it's Powell and Jones, who will hopefully be at CB. So quite a few of those either have question marks about their fitness or ability.

La Stampa who are a reliable outlet in Italy claim Vidal has put his house up for sale, make of that what you want.

We're gonna sign Vidal
We're gonna sign Vidal
And now you're gonna believe me,

We're gonna sign Vidal!

Someone on Twitter said that Vidal has been renovating another villa in Turin.

The deal is done imo. All we're waiting for is Vidal to return and Juve to spend their Vidal money on replacements (which they are doing). Juventus will want some distance between the Conte resignation before they announce it which gives them time to bring players in without the world knowing that they have 40m euros from selling Vidal (they don't have the luxury of overpaying due to their finances).

Just need some patience.

he's probably putting it up for sale cause he's moving to a bigger, more expensive house cause Juve probably just gave him a bumpy new contract to 2020 lolz

Change the thread title to : Vidal selling his house. That information gives accurate view on this situation.

He will sign the week after season starts, for £45m. He will get the no.18 shirt as Young will be sold to Aston Villa next week.

He will be on £220k per week and will make his United debut against Burnley.
