However unlikely, if Vidal ends up at Liverpool bcos van Gaal or Woody cant get their acts together and we lose out on another worldclass player, after having lost out on Kroos due to some spastic reasoning, something is seriously wrong. We have the money - spend it.

If the players wanted to come enough, the deals would happen. :p

I don't understand the skeptism from you guys about this deal- A nigerian rapper, an Irish radio jockey and Vidal's neighbours have confirmed it. What more do you guys want?

I forgot about the Nigerian rapper, thank you! This ones in the bag guys, relax! It'll be like when we got Berbatov on deadline day, I can picture van Gaal and Woody driving Vidal back from the airport now. Actually, someone should probably make a gif of that.

I don't think he's a bullshitter. The only other transfer he called was RvP and that he called before media caught wind of it. Also there's nothing to suggest he's lying. Yes I know there's plenty bullshitters around but sometimes there might also be people with genuine connections at the club.
 He 'called' RVP 5 days before it happened, Fergie confirmed a bid for him in July. I could go on now and say ''Mangala has joined City'' and 5 days later or so it's probable he will have. Does that make me reliable for the next rumour in 2 years time despite me bullshitting?

Most newssites think we've already signed Strootman. If this is the case, how useful would Vidal be? Do we really need him aswell, if Kevin Strootman is coming in the winterwindow?

The more the merrier. We will have enough room once we sell off Anderson, Cleverley and Fellaini. But I don't think its happening anyway.

Yes, totally different level of player. See it this way - Vidal is the world-class CM we've needed to add for a while, while Strootman is an improvement on one of our existing, substandard midfielders, like Fellaini, Cleverley or Anderson.

Plus although he often plays as a dynamic box-to-box all-rounder like Vidal, Strootman can also play as a proper DM, which is something we basically don't have at all.

What are these news sites, by the way? I hadn't heard anything more solid about Strootman than rumours that we were interested and would try and sign him, injury-free, in January.

No chance Roma are gonna sell Strootman in the January window - especially if they're still in Champions League or in the hunt for Serie A..

We've only one proper CM at the moment & 2 in total when Carrick gets back. Thats not good enough for a club of our ambitions to just have 2 CM'. We need 2 more in & Vidal & Strootman would be fantastic..

Fair play @Pexbo. I'm not really a transfer muppet as such, but it's either us or Madrid. He's definitely off in my opinion.

In all seriousness. People are going to look back on this saga and say "wow, Pexbo eh, he knows his fecking onions. I'll listen to him in the future." He's ours. It's a matter of time.

As soon as the Evra departure is announced by Juve then I can see some interesting developments one way or another. Looking forward to Arturoweek.

I'm a very experienced transfer muppet and I can see light at the end of the tunnel regarding Vidal.

Indeed. I've seen some shit in my time. Luckily in this case, the same shit can be seen from the perspective of Juve and Madrid. As far as United are concerned it's green light.

I'm with you 100% Pexbo... Vidal to Manchester United is a matter of time.

A resurgence in transfer muppitism whilst putting @Gambit in his place. Be humble when it happens won't you Pex.

There will be no reason to gloat. I'll share a silent nod with the forum and that will be that.

It's going to be awesome seeing the Juve fans mourn the departure of Vidal. :D

If the Irish disk jockeys source is reliable then I'm going to drive to Ireland just to shake his hand and buy him a drink. I seem to remember him during the RVP transfer and getting it right so there's a slim chance I guess! I do have a feeling this might happen now things have died down after both clubs denials.

I just want us to sign Vidal because of how committed Adnan is to this thread :D.
