Aston Villa vs. Manchester United

Villa will have a young side that'll run a lot.. It should be fine if we take control early on.. if we start slow, they'll be closing our midfield down.

Attack from the start...
I remember the game where we went 2 down against their kids.. that was annoying.
Kiko and vidic saved us there.

Probably will get over run in midifeld again with those two, but should have enough all round to win comfortably.

Only the Wigan game this season has been a comfortable victory. We have pretty much made every match hard work.

Brilliant

Our midfield consists of Rooney, Scholes and Carrick. Why do people always assume we will play two in the middle. We've been playing like this for the past one year FFS.

We've been getting overrun in midfield for quite some time now. If, as you say, we've been playing a 3 in there with Rooney for a year now, then we have been getting overrun even with Rooney in there for some time now.

Don't rate Villa at all. We should really be putting a few past them.

Who has over run us in midfield, this season?
Spurs did In first half but were outplayed in second. We've largely outplayed Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal in our quite recent matches. Sounds like pessimistic bollocks from you.

Scholes and Carrick expect a slow start and to be a goal down. Scholes should not be starting. Fergie again relying on Rooney to make this tactic work.

Young - he is the best option available - another frustrating performance.

We are toip of the bloody league for Christ sake and maxxing in Europe. Were dominated only by dominatrixs

Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Clark, Stevens, Westwood, Ireland, Bannan, Weimann, Benteke, Agbonlahor.

feck me that line up.

We should really be winning this comfortably.

Should be getting the ball to Valencia to run at Stevens. He didn't go at Santos as much as I would have liked, so he can make up for it here.

However poor Villa might have been this season, this match won't be easy at all. We've not really had any comfortable games apart from Arsenal and Wigan.

Mostly when Scholes and Carrick have started at the start of the season. I see short term memory strikes again with football fans. The fact like you mentioned that Rooney has been playing in there with Scholes and Carrick since last year, and midfield being our problem spot last year also says a lot.

This could be a marvelous start to the day with Berba scoring 2 and assisted 1 against Arse and us winning this one...

Carrick-Scholes in a 4-4-2?

How interesting this games turns could depend on whether Villa stand off our midfield or get in their faces..

Despite the erratic form and Lambert's struggles with the squad, there's City-esque result in them if things work out just so.

How about...4-2 to us then. :)

Just sit back and appreciate the genius of Scholes, I can't wait. RvP loves to play with him as well.
