Still go to the games, still travel to europe and i don't like seeing my team get out played by average>good european teams. Maybe i was sploit by our previous teams, though if you truelly believe this is a squad capable of challenging in europe then you are truly a twat.

Fairly certain all this was said in the summer of 2006 but it didn't take huge amount of changes to get us back to the top just a few tweaks, Christ one of the players you want out is one of the best in the world in his position and probably only around 25 if even that. Truly mind boggling shit

Is it true that the Bilbao fans turned to the United fans at the end of the game, clapped and sang 'United'? If so why?

Yeah they did, they absolutely love us in Bilbao because so much of the history of the town comes from English people that moved to the Basque country many years ago. Their team was founded by the English football fans.

A lot of them waited outside the away end and were clapping when we all walked out. Us and the Athletic fans then all walked down into the town and drank with each other through the night. Plenty of them speak decent English and were very up for discussing football at length with us.

Lovely people, amazingly passionate about their football. Fantastic club and a beautiful place too. I managed to get them singing "lets all laugh at City" with me in front of the tv cameras after the game, which was a bonus.
