As sad as it sounds, the most ideal striker for Barca's system atm is probably our dear friend, Mr Luis Suarez.

Him and Busquets can really take cheating to new heights & I'm actually positive the little cretin wouldn't mind playing "bLack-up" to Messi, unlike Ibra etc.

Is Falcao the type that can operate wide?

Because they tried that with Eto'o and Zlatan and Pep moved both wide to accommodate Messi's preferred playing style.

Samu was perfect, even out wide, but was cleared out for reasons never specified - although the speculation was over attitude issues which is not hard to imagine.

Falcao is fantastic but I don't think he'd be ideal in this current setup as his game isn't really suited best to a possession team. Plus, he'd cost far more than the club would be willing to pay.

Suarez has been linked for years, Pep's brother is his agent and is technical enough to play out wide and interchange in that attacking trident in the manner the team requires to be the most suitable current replacement for Villa.

Villa was perfect but unfortunately his declining pace makes him 2nd choice. Shame it took one season longer to get him signed in the first place.

Neymar could work too but no one knows what his adjustment to European football will be like

Barcelona won't play with a proper CF until Leo loses his pace and drops deeper which could be another 4-5 years.
