Barcelona - a lot of moaning about them and some praise

The feck is dawg you clown?

Improved to being more neutral. More like the rest of us and less like Cal?, FV and co. who you've clearly matched now.

What does hala mean?

It probably hasn't. Both teams cheated, both teams were disgrace, Madrid also deserve more than a mention. Who did more and who did less is subjective. But the football fan surely lost.

You do seem quite upset after yesterdays loss. Take it easy Amol.

Like I said bro, I'm here for you.

United is still in the final you know.

just the other day you confessed to supporting Madrid over Barcelona and now you're a neutral?

Sigh, eveytime I get out, they pull me back in.

You quoted me yet 'they pull you in'.

Well done on trying to get back on to the 'having some sense' train and failing miserably.

Upset? Can't think of any reason of being so apart from having watched that embarrassment of a football game last night. It was funny more than anything else. In the end my 'football state of mind' unlike you is decided by things related to Manchester United and not one of the Spanish clubs. I'm in a good place when it comes to football because we are in a fantastic position this season. The prospects send a shiver down the spine. You, on the other hand, are well and truly affected by last night. For the rest of us it was just a game to decide who we face off with in the final and hopefully an entertaining one. For you, it was your beloved Barca playing their bitter rivals and them winning actually gave you immense pleasure, which you'd think is odd considering you're supposedly a United fan.

Oh and to mildly favor the lesser of two evils is not really any form of support. If that's what you call support then I don't know what to say. In the larger scheme of things Madrid aren't even the lesser evil of the two. I'd rather they were out of the competition at the first round. It's a shit club itself. I just wanted Barca off their perch whether it be Valencia who did it or us. And now we have a chance. Bring it on !

Some good performances for the crown as best actor/clown for next years Oscars.

Yet your posts dominate all the threads related to Laliga?

am I lying?

does that make sense to you?

but seriously, at the end of the day your Jose/Ronaldo/Madrid won the Copa del Rey, so be happy?

did you not see the celebrations?

They are a bunch of cheats. Every team has a the odd player or so that goes down a bit to easily, but when you have 11 of them and then all of them surround the ref asking for a red card it is disgraceful.

As good as football as they play (and I personally think its boring until the final couple of passes or a Messi/Villa run) they are a very dirty team. I'm not sure whether its because the refs just like Barcelona or if its because all 11 players come and tell the ref to do something but they do get plenty of things going there way.

Would agree with a lot of what you say but let's remember the tone of this game was set way before a ball was kicked and both sides have to take responsibility for what happened

We maybe no angels in the Premiership but I agree with Cantona when he said that this is the most honest league

No I didnt. Bet you saw those yesterday. You even started a thread on it all. Proves my point.

I couldn't bother doing that. In fact I slammed the people who wanted 'Ronnie to come back home' just the way I slammed you often for the 'what the feck are you saying about my messi?' type posts.

I just tell it like I see it. I'm sorry if that hurts.

And the Oscar goes to... Pedro! Who, after being shoulder-barged by a Real defender and hit in the chest (!), went down like he was in serious pain, only for the cameras to reveal him holding his face.

Put him on ignore mate, that way you wouldn't have to continue this frankly pathetic and ridiculous argument.

If United would face Barca in the final, I hope the lads stay very focused and just get on with business, leave all that shit to Barca. But in a final, that will be hard, Rio could be crucial with his calm influence.

I wish the press and football fans would critisize Barca more often for that

This. At the end of the day, if we both meet in the final and we get beat, then we get beat.

I just hope the lads play with dignity and at least try to win the game. I hope we don't fall for their antics, remain calm and play the best we can.

You're so fecking embarrassing right now it is unreal.

The only reason you're being "pulled back in" is because you think you have to have the last word or that any of what you're saying doesn't make you look like a circus clown.

Honestly, like a 12 year old girl with a crush.

This:cool:

We'll ( If we get there) play to our strengths unlike 09 when I felt we let the emotion carry us away somewhat.

Pot. Kettle.

A man who knows he can get away with it, and that his teammates, manager, fans will keep making excuses up for him.

Would you?

Then a lot of the blame should fall on the club and not just the individuals. Sad really. But feck em, I'm happy in the knowledge that we're better :)

I used to hate Real and was sympathetic towards Barcelona till around 2007. However, since then I have realized that both clubs are equally corrupt and make equal of official favour to remain in their esteemed position.
On a side note, the culture in Spain seems to favour winning sides more while in England there is seems to be a tendency to pull down winners and belittle their achievements (especially in football)

As for last night, I haven't seen a team surround a referee so many times for such trivial incidents. It started with Barcelona and soon Real realized that they too can pressure the referee that way. I guess disgusting is a pretty good description for the behaviour of the Barcelona team and the lack of sportsmanship on display last night.
Even if it a cultural thing, and people might have to avoid too much condemnation because of a relativistic mindset, there is no way one can claim to be normal and not condemn the display last night from Barcelona.
Real were pretty bad too, but it didn't seem that their plan A was to get a player sent off. Football-wise they were poor though (even though they only fell behind once Pepe was wrongly sent off).
My main is issue is not with the diving (i have come to accept it) but it is with the surrounding and intimidating the ref for every insignificant incident. It was as if I watching a poor Hindi serial (I have never managed to get through a whole episode) rather than a football match

Good post and this bit in bold is very true.

Lets hope football is the winner in the final with us of course being crowned European Champions. This lot aren't deserving, none of the two last night were.

Give it a rest Boss, it's pretty darn obvious that you are the biggest la liga fan on these boards. For a Manchester United fan it is a little disturbing.

Yes ok.

disturbia.

but I want to know how somebody who claims to have a 'all things Manchester related mind' dominate every single laliga thread with his posts.

It doesn't add up to me.

He wouldn't happened to be obssessed would he?

You know, what he calls me?

Yo Boss, you should take a break, the Caf can get to you after a while. Relax man

A man who knows he can get away with it, and that his teammates, manager, fans will keep making excuses up for him.

You just have to wonder why it doesnt really get picked up. Not by the officials, refs, fans, journos, etc.

It needs a strong ref to give out a yellow for play acting, and, if it continues, a 2nd yellow. This play acting really makes me angry

Good post. & the imaginary card waving has been taken to a new level. Since when was this all allowed? I thought these were all yellow card offences. & in that case Barca should have been 5 down before half time. It's funny how that, if a English team (and particularly our team) had to act even half as bad as Barca, a witch hunt would well and truly have been on the go. Heads would roll. Evra would be suspended. Now the only spin you are likely to get from the match would be "Barca the victims" "A victory for football"...

On the bolded bit in your post, the amount of favouritism that the "big 2" get in La Liga is unreal. From TV rights (thats a different argument) to referee decisions, it is a bit of a farce and NOTHING is ever mentioned or done about it.

I can't really condemn the 1 without the other though. I have no particular feeling of satisfaction or disappointment from watching last night, as Tuesday night was the only match that mattered this week. You realise that as much as the hype of Barca is ridiculous, were Madrid to trade places with Barca as the kings of Europe, the hype would be just as ridiculous - no matter the money they spend to achieve that (as the commentator pointed out last night "Madrid's second team put 6 past Valencia - 2nd team with Kaka, Higuain etc").

I just hope, come the Final, our team (if we get there) actually pitches up this time and "football is the winners" - not cheating. Mourinho was partly right in saying 2 UCL winners medals for Barca in such controversial circumstances would be a grave injustice.

fecking disgraceful.

Not just the diving...but the awful feigning of injury. An absolute disgrace.

fecking hate watching bullshit like this.

Football is a fecking sport full of puffs.

As someone else said, its so disgraceful, you start liking RM more than Barca, and that is a horrible thing

I said this ages ago. Everyone sees thru there fecking rotten behaviour because of their beautiful football. fecking despise them more than Madrid

yep agreed, glad to see so many on board now!

My brother in law is a very long term Barca support, I asked him what he thought of last night, his reply was:

A lot of people ranting about Barca play-acting… very simple question for you : what are they supposed to do ? Let Madrid kick them around for the 3rd game running, and HOPE that the ref eventually starts applying the laws of the game ?

Dear oh dear.

Thats the reality i've come to find myself in. I hate the Barca "Untouchables" - the feckers get away with all that we seen last nite. What about retrospective analysis of the game by the ref, UEFA etc.. the cheatin by Barca by means of feigning facial injury is dispicable. I hate them more than Real & that says a shit load!

Mourinho hit the nail on the head the other week when he talked about training with 10 mean against 11, because when they play Barca they always get a man sent off. He's right in being paranoid, because it seems to be a deliberate tactic, so Barca can have more men - sorry boys, to pass the other team to death!

Folk are goin on about how United - Barca final is a dream final, but i am sick to death of them & i dont trust them to play a fair game. Its gut-wrenchin to lose finals & they dont come any bigger than the possible one we may find ourselves in, but whats even more sickening is being cheated by conning the ref & I can guarantee you they will try every trick in the cheating book.

We will have to try to pound them like we did against Schalke & put the squeeze on their defence - which is shit tbh, if we do that & get them chasing us then we stand a better chance than we did in 2009

Barcelona - feckin sickening bunch of cnuts...

Dear oh dear.

They live in their own parallell universe, the fans, the players, the president, and the whole club from top to bottom. They can do no wrong and anyone who dares challenge them physically or tactically is the devil incarnate.

Xavi was at it again last night "this was a victory for football"...what utter self-promoting bollocks, the fact they needed a red card for the opposition(again)to create anything at all is not a victory for football, it's a victory for the darks arts of resorting to shithouse tactics like diving and demanding cards from the referee.

FC Barcelona...playing the victim, being hypocrites, and living in Real's shadow since 1899. Bitter club with a false sense of moral superiority.
