Barcelona Vs Manchester United - Pre-season friendly

I do hope Young is considered back up to Nani and Valencia for a long while.

Nani's been great and Barca have been diving.

Yeah let's judge a player in his third pre-season game.

Nice dive Pedro. He should have been carded even though it is a friendly.

If anything the fact that it is a friendly is even more reason to do so. For all their fantastic passing I still can't stand Barca for all their diving and when they even do it in fecking friendlies it shows you just how big of their football education it is. It's pathetic - especially when they're such skilled players.

Good game so far I think. Obviously neither team is playing their strongest side, but if you just watched the game you wouldn't know it was a friendly. Welbeck impresses me once again. Many (young) players would be inclined to pass the ball much quicker than he did for Nani's goal but he held onto it and passed it at exactly the right time. Been having high hopes for him for years now and I'll be great to see how he progresses when he's a part of our first team.

It's quite annoyin really, because Nani has shown every reason why I said he should have started the final. His quick feet are a huge asset against Barca, both in attack and defence. He works space and can take them in for fun, but they struggle to take him on because his reactions are rapid.

Its frustrating because many of us in the newbies were saying he'd do well against these. No defender on earth can live with his quick feet for 90 mins.

Paddy is trending worldwide on twitter

Have to agree with this. They talk about being "more than a club" but the example Barca set when things aren't going to plan is poor. Pedro has tried twice to get a penalty, Busquets has been auditioning for the Spanish diving team for London 2012, Dos Santos has been trying to do Young for at least 20 minutes and even Villa chose to start putting the boot in at the end of the first half. Sad that such a talented team has to resort to anti-football, especially, in a non-competitive fixture.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he is. The twat.

He's a pretty big football fan. Was well before he met up with Henry.

At an early age he also learned to play soccer; his favorite team is AC Milan.[8] He has said that if he had stayed in Italy, he would have tried to become a professional soccer player;[8] Bryant is a big fan of former FC Barcelona manager Frank Rijkaard and their former player Ronaldinho.

Smalling, Giggs & Owen on for Evra, Rooney & Ando.

SAF seems to like the idea of Smalling at RB.

The Champions League changed format, right? This is the second leg?

Still need another goal.

Xavi saying hi to Giggs, Owen and Smalling when passing them. Always nice to see that. Now that I think of it, I think we should sign Xavi.
