Scholes needs to come on as well. Either for Anderson or Giggs, neither of whom seem awake.
 
Fergie won't change it initially..he hardly ever does.....he will keep the same for ten minutes...lull Barca into a security then bring on the subs to change the rhythm....

Its not been great. A big half time team talk is needed and a change in mentality from us. Barcelona have got a goal against the run of play and kept a lot of possession since then. We need to respond and get an equaliser as soon as possible because the team is just coasting right now. Up the tempo.
 
We are giving them so much space. It's utterly depressing at times. Good start but the goal seems to have completely torn at our confidence, it's way to early to start going direct, we should be getting more of a passing game going.

Anyways we certainly need a plan B. I'd say Park for Tevez, and whilst I don't rest any blame on Anderson I do think this stage is to big for him at the moment.. Fletch in his position would have made such a difference.
 
I feel like im watching Utd vs AC Milan from a few years ago....just watching them pass the whole match......

That was a bit shit toi be honest. Park looked lost, and I can see Tevez coming on for him. Scholes for Giggs later on?
 
Giggs and Park just haven't cut it so far. Ronaldo and Rooney have been isolated.

Something needs to be done, bringing on Tevez would be the obvious choice, but I'd probly gets scholes on too
 
First 10 minutes we out played the, had 5 shots. Eto'o turns Vidic and from then on Ronaldo seems to be the only one driving us forward.
 
I don't think we can come back from this, while they are playing with
Xavi, Iniesta, Henry, Eto'o, Messi.. Congrats to Barca already.
 
Naive tactics imo. Worked well for 10 minutes when we were able to literally keep the front 6 players out of the game. But did we honestly expect to be able to do that for 90 minutes? Against the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Henry and Messi?

Predictably, the first time Barcelona's midfield got the ball past the half way line they scored. Iniesta was like Giggs against Chelsea - a burst through the positioning of the 2 central midfielders and it opened up our defence. This is why a dribbler from the central areas of the pitch is so dangerous. Bad defending and bad goalkeeping let Eto'o score - the finish really wasnt that good. But it happened.

And we let it happen because of our tactics.

I'm confident we can score, but we need to make changes. Because I'm not so sure Barcelona are finished scoring tonight.

Tevez on for Park imo.

Making substitutions won't change that.
 
Don't want ut to do any changes until the 70th minute. Don't want to risk being punished and going 2-0 down.
 
Hasnt been a bad half but we both have had chances but Barca look more deadly in the attacking half... I would like to see Tevez and Berba for Giggs and Park but i dont think SAF will be that drastic

After the 10 minute the game was simply embarrasing. It was like swapping players with Torquay.
