Oh they can be beaten alright. Put two top quality midfielders into this team and you'd see a HUGE difference. Our midfield sometimes gets dominated by mid table premiership teams so of course are going to dismantle them.

Its very disspointing, no point looking if this and if that, I think everyone would probably have agreed we went with our best 11 who have been playing well. They simiply have outperformed us, you cannot just sit back and soak up pressure for 90 mins, eventually you will concede.
 
Nothing to do with the team selection, nothing to do with the players
Barca are way too good. They close down, they plug the gaps, make it hard for the opponents to pass.

Fergie is pissed off..
 
The biggest thing that upsets me is that our great club doesn't deserve such a loss. The players, fine, I think we simply aren't good enough in central midfield for them. But the glory of Manchester United doesn't deserve losing to FC Barcelona in two consecutive finals.

You know, I hope Scholes breaks his legs....this is the only time I'm wishing injury on a player.
 
Busquets being a cnut as usual, but you have to say they haven't done much of that shit today.
 
What a fecking cnut Busquets is. Probably the only player in football (Stevie Me and Big Man included) I'd ever wish injury on.

Somebody's got to lose. A shame it had to be us, but we can't complain as we've been beaten by a better side. I think there will be more urgency now from the club to strengthen the midfield for next season after seeing this performance.

I'm still thankful for the season we've had. Let's not forget the positives of this season.

As if they haven't played a dream team midfield combination ever and dominated possession nonetheless.

It's not just about one or two players in key positions, their whole team can hold the ball well. They don't panick when getting closed down and they all know what to do when they lose the ball, their chasing and pressuring off-ball is amazing.

It's the way they have been instilled/trained to play, whether it's a xavi or a mascherano.
