Becks has a slight hamstring problem apparently.
 
The right back position has been "changed" apparently. What do you read into that?

Fergie confirmed that Becks has a slight hamstring problem and it wasn't worth risking him. I never know whether to believe these slight injuries or not, but I guess we don't have an international coming up so maybe I will this time.
 
Sir Alex said yesterday and in his supporters' email that Becks does have a problem with his hamstring and three tough games in eight days would be too much. Fingers crossed for Highbury, although with Ole he gives us more of an attacking edge.

IMO it just means he's knackered and his form had dipped.

I might be being a bit harsh but I dont really rate Brown as a right-back. Not really fair as he hasnt played there often; it just looks like there's too many laid-back players in that defence and not an experienced one.
 
Brown's pace is probably better to counter Robert's. Having said that, who knows if this was tried if if Gary wasn't out of the Real second leg.

Good point, best to get someone back in tune with the position. Its also a way to play all our young defenders at the same time. Do you agree with me that O'Shea will be left back?

It certainly gives some people (including me but i have my doubts) a chance to judge whether our defence can fit together for the next few years.

I'd certainly prefer to see it as whenever it was tried in recent months, Silvestre in the middle and O'Shea on the left worked. Whether Fergie starts that way... <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

Good start by us, especially on the counter.

O'Shea is on the left. Giggs is playing more centrally and Ole ain't afraid to go central too.

newcastle are pretty effective (not to mention cheeky) with free kicks.
 
MU commentor keeps mistakingly calling someone robert.

it would be nice to control the ball for while, but it doesn't sounds as though its THAT type of game...
