Played fairly well. Still much room for improvement especially in the midfield and striking positions. Too many moves breaking down there and not enough chances being created. But as a mish-mashed team we have peformed admirably. Hope we kill this off in the second half.

This is becoming really frustrating, Owen gets himself in such great positions needing only a through pass and yet our players seem to completely forget him...

Good 15 to 20 minutes but then allowed Barnsley into the game.Impressed by Obertan nothing spectacular but solid performance.

Welbeck is brilliant. Obertans looked promising.
THe twins are right snappy little buggers, fighting away for the ball...despite their stature they're not easy to beat...pretty sure I saw Rafael win a header against a guy in midfield who looked a foot and a half taller than him.

I get the feeling every time United are attacking something is going to happen, but only being 1 - 0 up is slightly worrying, especially the way we've been defending set pieces. Another goal really would be quite nice.

I can understand the frustration at Welbeck but his attitude and workrate has been great. His first touch from Andersons pass was fantasic. He's still developing and is obviously going to give the ball away but doing that is also relative to how many times he's trying something positive. Thumbs up from me

Welbeck is insanely talented but needs to sort out his head.

Nani has four years on Welbeck, and even now I think Welbeck makes better decisions than him. Obviously he's going to be a little greedy and make mistakes at 18 though.
Thought we've done alright..but we definitely need some more steel in midfield. The two up front need to hold it up more, Welbeck done well, Obertan was decent.. expect more from him second half.
Defensively very shaky..Foster, I'm trying my best to wish him well.. but he is very dodgy with the ball at his feet. His handling was decent though to be fair.
