This is the ultimate proof that we should be playing 4-4-2 each game. All this goal scoring started after we changed formation :)

You cannot say that, because it's possible that the 4-5-1 could have scored the same or even more. It's impossible to tell unless you have a crystal ball.

Yes but if we hadn't started with 4-5-1 we wouldn't have conceded and we wouldn't switch to 4-4-2...

This, together with the Newcastle game, could be the turning point of the season...I can feel my hopes for this season are rising again :)

if the change in performance didnt prove it to u when the formation changed,then im afraid nothing will ever convince u weaste
 
Also, the 4-4-2 could have conceded more goals.

You can't tell for sure.

I know what your going to say though, we were shite until Olle moved up and we scored seconds later.
But thats the beauty of it, we still had that option. Had we played 442 we would still have let that goal in after 30 seconds and still been under the cosh. Had we started with 442 we would have been fuched imo.

Tactics and performance two related things, and it depends on who you are playing.

And unlike Neil, I accept that there are too many variables to provide a statistical analysis, never mind a pre-analysis.

The great thing with a 4-5-1 is that it allows for change, by starting with the 4-4-2 it is far more difficult to change formation.

There is no proof, except what neil produced the other day that 4-4-2 lost more than 4-5-1.

I on the other hand have always said that they are both the same. 4-5-1 is 4-4-2, 4-5-1 does not technically exist!
