Berbatov | Fulham player

Very happy for him. Some people are so quick to forget everything he did last season. But he's really taken his opportunity today and that hat trick should give him a lot of confidence. The more in-form players we have in attack, the better.

He hasn't had much football so let's hope his freshness makes a difference for us further down the line.

Because it worked so well in the league game.

It worked well in the Community Shield and up untl Evans got sent off.

Anyway I don't think Ferguson has the FA Cup game line up sorted in his head yet. Still have a couple of important league matches coming up.

He might end up paying off that £30m fee if Fergie puts a little more faith in him.

OK, so it's Wigan but he did it to bigger fish last year. There's plenty of time for Welbeck, let's have Berba stop City in their tracks in 2012.

I still think he looks a better player when he is the main player up front or when Rooney isn't around as he normally assumes that mantle. That will be difficult for him as we're never really going to drop Rooney in a big match.

This is exactly what Fergie meant when he said he'd get his game time as the season wears on.

Yeah I am sure berbatov is delighted with 2 league starts this season. Possibly another one in 5 days

He will be lucky if he reaches 10 league starts for the season.

If we are all happy with this then all is well

What I like about him is that despite having the ability to do the ludicrous, he actually very rarely overdoes the fancy stuff. At times, Rooney and Giggs have at tendency to try far too many fancy passes/flicks which causes them to be wasteful. Berbatov is very good in this aspect.

I think he'll figure more than that. You make out like he's our Wayne Bridge or something - I think he'll play enough for all sides to be happy.

Nar, I think he'll be a little displeased by the end of the season. But, importantly, he'll feel a part of everything, SAF is superb at that, even Gibson will be made to feel part of anything we achieve.

And jeysus, what a "reserve" to have. I love our squad, it's a midfield genius short of being orgasmic.

He's better than beck, but beck is young and needs games to fulfil his potential. We can risk dropping Berba because we're good enough to win regardless.

The way Berba has dealt with this situation is admirable, he has an incredible attitude for the team game.

Hasn't always had in the past though - I think he genuinely really loves being a United player, enough even to put up with a reduced role here.

Fergie's fair though - it's by no means impossible for Berbatov to force his way back and play a larger role than we all expect before the end of the season.

The reason Welbeck gets in ahead of him is more because he suits us better, right now, than Berbatov. The latter is one player that would walk into many many teams. The 4th choice striker thing doesn't really portray his actual quality. He is better than Welbeck for me.

I am afraid to say this as people will just think I am being my normal Berba hating self

But i think Welbeck offers far more than Berbatov. In a big game I would want Welbeck or Hernandez every time.

I don't think it's the right time for that Randall, I would hope that 99% of posters are intelligent enough o understand that this was Wigan at home, with 10 men for the most part.

But it should be the time for you to understand that it's brilliant having a player like Berba just happy to be part of the squad.

I do. I was delighted with everything today

Except for Hernandez sadly

agreed.

And whilst I agree that Wellbeck and Hernandez are ahead of Berba in the pecking order, it's fecking brilliant having all 3. Berba was entertaining today, I've never seen a guy look less arsed about taking a hat trick penalty, it really was as though he couldn't give a feck if he scored or not.

This is exactly what Fergie meant when he said he'd get his game time as the season wears on.

I remember us talking about this when it was being said he won't be played, based on Welbeck and Hernandez getting the earlier games.

You can't help but think that someone with his talent has really great team spirit. He knows and acknowledges it's a squad and it has to be utilized fully and ergo, waits for his chance patiently. Most players in his position would have already thrown a number of hissy fits and given questionable interviews to the press. 'Is Difficult' comes to mind.

great to see him getting 3 goals today..

hope fergei will trigger that one year extension clause in his contract, he certainly deserves it..

Dont recall anyone saying he would not get the odd home game especially over the xmas period

Less of your gloating

Time will tell Randall, you've often been wrong about Berbatov though, so it should theoretically be easier.

I'm intrigued. What, exactly?

I think it's ridiculous that Berba hasn't been given more gametime this season, especially considering he was top scorer last year. And I think his attitude, both on and off the pitch, has been beyond criticism.

Well done Berb.
