Berbatov | Fulham player

I hope he gets to go somewhere good, he still has a lot to offer in the right set up IMO. Spurs could do worse than snap him up.

I'd imagine he'll have a moan about his time at Utd when he leaves, I cant say I really blame him, I've always thought the timing of his move to Utd was the problem rather than his ability.

Good player, bad signing.

Spurs at the moment only have Defoe up front and even they're not fussed.

Berbs will score against us if he goes to another prem side, no doubt about that.

I'm surprised no one has snapped him up yet.

i hope he wont join the dippers, i see him perfect partner for suarez.

I imagine we're being persistent about the price.

Why not do a Winston Bogarde on us? Keep his head down and let the contract run out?
Poor call by Fergie at the end of the previous season. Should have sold him when he was the top scorer.

Because, unlike Bogarde, he's a very good player who could play for a number of top clubs across Europe. I agree though that last season we should have sold him, hell PSG were rumoured to be prepared to pay £18m for him and for one I think they would have.

Suggests he is leaving, I guess.

I am conflicted.

We can't really afford to keep him on the wages he is on just to never play unfortunately. Great player but at the wrong time

Among the most talented players we have had and my favorite during his time. Shame his style didn't suit our plans but people must remember that he carried us when a certain player was f*cking up. A top person personality wise too.

The weather's too good to be Manchester.

I also don't know why Arsenal didn't want him as a part of the deal.

I really think Berba is one of the very best player on the planet and there's no one better to play the Paul Scholes role... I don't understand really. It's like people buying a 911 Turbo and driving it 3 times a year.

Get over it.

 I wonder if some of the posters in this thread are going to dissappear from the forum after we finally sell Berbatov. Afterall they are Berbatov fans, not United ones.

On another note, I remember when every other post someone was working out who can be registered in our squad this season. That was many months ago.

Hows it looking now we've bought and sold players? Is it even possible that if no bid deemed sufficient is made we'd even register him as a player when we have no intention of playing him? Or have we a spare place for him whether he stays or goes

I think we all have a soft spot for berba, i love him as a player and he has been very respectful so far, has said nothing bad about the club and doesnt seem to ever complain.

I really do hope he can find a good club and be a star there as he deserves; i just hope when he leaves he goes on quiet terms and doesnt start telling the press of his "nightmare".

Things didnt quite work out for him here, but i think most of us will remember him fondley.

Here's what the registered squad looks like now for the Premier League. Removed Fabio as he's going on loan to QPR and removed Park because he's going to QPR too.

We've got one spare squad space. If Amos goes on loan like that article is saying and Berbatov leaves along with Fletcher probably not being registered we'll have four spaces free. Even if Fletcher is registered we'll have three spaces.

With Amos out on loan and even including Berbatov as well as Fletcher we've got room for another signing.

The squad for the Champions League is a different matter but he'd be able to fit in the Premier League squad if it comes to worst case scenario that nobody has come in for him by the time the transfer window shuts.

I just can't understand why he hasn't attracted some decent offers yet. Surely he'd have been a decent bargain-basement replacement for Ibrahimovic at Milan? He's never quite fitted in here but he's an incredibly gifted footballer, and an effective one too.

I reckon a loan deal to Spurs would work out so well for us. Similar to Adebayor there. Plays and scores against our opponents (hopefully) but isn't allowed to face us.

Only problem with that is he can walk away for nothing at the end of the season. We really don't have much choice but to sell him now or risk getting nothing back.

A real shame because you'd think he would do really well for someone like AC Milan with the Italian league and their slower style of play.

This is one of those very rare situations where I don't really care about the best outcome for the club. I just want the player to get a good move. He's just an exquisite footballer, and he played a huge role in a title-winning season for us. Even when he was off-form his first touch was absolutely magical at times...I'd just like to see him at a club that suits his talents.

Who is tiago manuel Dias correia?

Shame for Berba, great player and was top scorer with us but we treated him harshly in a way. Certainly not a flop IMO as he will be made out to be by rival fans. Was he ever top scorer at Spurs? Don't think he was but not sure. Brilliant first touch and skills.

Surprised none of the Italian clubs are after him and hope he gets the move he deserves. Milan would be good for him and didn't he say he likes them as he watched them when younger or something. Anyway, it didn't fully work out for him here and we have a lot of options but good luck to him. Look at how Tevez was for example and that's when getting about 40 games!!!

We should've included Berba in the Van Persie deal. Say what you want about him but he'd have buried that Giroud chance Cazorla created. In a team built to play around him as the central striker, rather than made to measure for Ronaldo or Rooney, I think Berba would flourish. The problems he had at United are to do with his fitness for a side that likes to play breakneck fast counter attacking football. Arsenal tend to take a more measured approach and I think Berbatov might adapt better to their tendency to tippy tap it than our end to end offence. The guy was Premier League top scorer, and our leading scorer, in 2010/11 its a shame its all going to end like this.

Would that be such a bad thing? If no one is signing him for 5mil, then that says a lot about what potential money we can get on him. We'd be better off saving his wages for a year with him elsewhere where it could be mutually beneficial.
