Wasn't there a story that made the rounds about how Berbatov had some issues with some Bulgarian mobsters? I had read another story someplace that the Bulgarian mob is making some inroads into Italy and are in part to blame for some of the match fixing problems. If that is the case, perhaps that is why he prefers Fulham over Juve or Fiorentino.
 
Honestly, you could do worse than being a starter on a London-based club that plays in a great place like Craven Cottage.

I think it's the second reason. He is probably sick and tired of not playing and Fulham give the perfect opportunity to be a starter in a league in which he is comfortable.

I dont know, if you were Berbatov surely you'd fancy yourself to have a good go at winning a starting place from Vucinic even if you were at first a backup

Honestly if you look at Fulham now, he's maybe not the main man... But more the only man.

Would have understood it a lot more if they were building on Dembele and Dempsey to play with him.

Possibly. However, I think he has gone through that whole phase of trying to prove he is good enough and now just wants to play. I mean what happens if he struggles to dislodge the current starters at Juve? He will probably end up hardly playing for a large chunk of his playing career.

Better than nothing which is what we would have got if we hadn't renewed his contract and after all he is 31 and hasn't set the world alight recently. Plus clubs haven't exactly been knocking our door down to get him.
 
Really interesting transfer. Juve really needed a good striker, but I heard that they were offering him only 2 year contract with 1.8M a year so probably Fulham have offered much more which is fair for him.
 
I guess family comes first for him. But for me, I just wish him the best. Always remember his hattrick against Liverpool
