Most of you guys seem convinced its happening. Even I'm curious when I wasn't before. All that can be believed right now is some Spurs ITK fans, and they aren't always right.
Ekeke are you willing to make a bet? I say we'll buy Berbatov this summer.
I see no quotes from anybody at either club. Last week we were signing Huntelaar, because of a few quotes that werent from Ajax or United. Now we're signing Berbatov on quotes that arent from Spurs or United. We also signed Zhirkov this summer, apparently.
I'll give you that it does seem slightly more likely. Thats all.
i have decided that he is the second coming of christ and we must buy him.
I was actually willing to make a bet with... Err... I forget. Was a few weeks ago. Could it have been Pogue?
I was willing to make a bet we wouldn't sign a player over the age of 26.
We seem far more likely to be going for Berbatov at this point. It would be a fools' bet. But he isnt signed and there's still a good chance it wont happen. People who are talking like he's already our player are the ones making bets.

Last week I thought Huntelaar was the Messiah. Then it seemed I was wrong and Berbatov was the true Messiah. And then today I am being told that Aguero is the real Messiah.
I'm so confused![]()
He'd be a great signing, but £28mfecking hell! I'd rather us pay half that for a younger striker ...Huntelaar.
Eto'o, who i rate as the best striker in the world, would probably cost around £28m-£30m, why not go for him? I know he's a bit of a trouble maker and has a big ego, but I'm sure Fergie would sort him out.

Yeah i agree mate, he'd be a great signing never the less.28m is certainly not cheap but i think he will prove his worth if he does indeed come. he is one of the top three attackers in the world that would definitely improve our forward play in my opinion.
United agree £28m fee with Tottenham for Berbatov - now Spurs wait for Arshavin decision on White Hart Lane switch

Manchester United have agreed to pay Tottenham a club-record £28million for Dimitar
Berbatov - but may have to wait a few weeks before completing the deal.
Sir Alex Ferguson finally made his move for the Bulgarian striker over the weekend.
An initial bid of £20m was rejected and it was then reported that United would make a £25m take-it-or-leave it offer.
However, the two clubs have now come to an agreement after chairman Daniel Levy insisted the champions pay closer to £30m.
Publicly, Spurs are still insisting the striker isn’t for sale but head coach Juande Ramos has been planning for next season without him for some time.
The 27-year-old has made it clear he wants to leave and while he preferred a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid because of the lifestyle in Spain, United are the only club to have followed up their interest with a solid bid.
Tottenham had put a new contract in place in case no offer was forthcoming, but the player showed little interest in signing it.
Reports in the London Evening Standard suggest Spurs will still not let him leave for Old Trafford until they find a replacement and the club have joined Arsenal and Chelsea in the hunt for Zenit St Petersburg’s Euro 2008 Russian star Andrei Arshavin.
Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz is also a target, although Tottenham are already having difficulty negotiating with Blackburn over England winger David Bentley.
The Lancashire club want £18m for the former Arsenal star who is keen to return to London and is a Spurs fan.
Tottenham may also use the funds from the Berbatov sale to make another move for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o, although he has already made it clear he isn’t interested in coming to White Hart Lane.
But while Berbatov will go to United, they won’t allow assistant manager Gus Poyet to follow him.
The Uruguayan is on Ferguson’s wish list to replace Carlos Queiroz, but Spurs are determined to keep him and he is happy at the club.
Utter shite that story, Berbatov would always chose us over Barca and/or Real
As for ArshavinThat he'd even think about joining Spurs what with Arsenal, Barca and Chelsea all after him
I can't believe that people are still questioning the judgement of the best manager of all time.
Strangely perhaps, I would be.... ... Would you be dissappointed if Berbatov stayed at Spurs and your summer spending was actually over?
....
Make no mistake, Berbatov is quality.
I can't believe that people are still questioning the judgement of the best manager of all time.
Doubtless similar things were being said about Modric, whose 'name recognition and profile' was (and is) at least as big as Arshavin's is now.... As for ArshavinThat he'd even think about joining Spurs what with Arsenal, Barca and Chelsea all after him
