Barclays Premier League
Birmingham v Manchester United
Tuesday, 28th December, 20:00
St. Andrews, Birmingham

1-2, Rooney x 2. Always a tough game there but I think we can get a nice streak going on.

Im worried about this, its not a nice fixture at the best of times but especially given Birmingham haven't played today and will be much the fresher side.

Praying we have Nani back, maybe Fletcher, both Giggs and Anderson were bought off after an hour today obviously with an eye on this one to, a point might not be the worst result in the world.

Anderson, Giggs, Berba taken off early today. They will play some part in this one

long time since we play an away game in the league, we only have 1 away win in the league all season :nervous:

:nono: I thought you were a top Red...dissappointing...:(

Will be a very hard game. Reckon it'll be 1-1 but hoping we can finally win an away match!

What was our last away win? Stoke?

They haven't really shown anything this season, look at their place in the league...chin up lad we can win this one...

Ofcourse we can win it but our away record does not inspire confidence. And Birmingham are solid at home.

However with Rooney and Berbatov in form we might finally have a good chance to win an away game.

We'll do well to get 4 points from our next 2 games away at B'ham and WBA.

Just found out this will be shown in France on Canal+ Sport, problem is it starts in the middle of prime eating time, could be a problem...

Afterwards they are showing 'Looking for Manchester' the Eric Cantona film about football in Manchester!

One thing is for sure, we shouldn't be resting anyone. 3 points there are a must

This has been a really tricky fixture over he last couple of years, but we couldn't really play this fixture at a better time. They are in poor form and not winning would be a big disappointment, but they can't be underestimated, especially after their win against Chelsea.

Hopefully a rested Nani will give the Birmingham defence a real test.

Bit shit that their game was called off which makes them fress for us. I think they are unbeaten at home against the top 4 in their last 8 games or so which shows that its a tough place to go.

The hell lads?! How about a bit of faith eh?!

3-0 I reckon. Ando, Rooney and Hernandez with a late one after being subbed on.

A point against Birmingham will never be a good result for Man Utd. We really ought to be beating them. They're obdurate but really poor going forward.

Apparently Fergie has just said he thinks Nani will be back for this, my confidence levels have risen!

Van Der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Fletcher
Carrick
Anderson

Nani
Rooney
Berbatov

That would be a great team for Brum away. They are bound to try and hassle us in Midfield for the first 20 so Fletch and Carrick in there would counteract that and I think Andreson, Nani, Rooney and Berbatov will be too strong for them.

0 - 2 United Rooney, Carrick

SUBS: Kuszczak, Brown, Smalling, Fletcher, Obertan, Gibson, Hernandez.

This is the kind of game the pundits always like to say the foreign lads don't like. I actually think we can win this one without too much difficulty, Rooney is due.

 at you people who think Rooney will score.

(I'm hoping this backfires on me).

I think that people are thinking about last season when they're bigging up brum's record at home. They're a lot less impressive this season - W3 D4 L1

That said, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world (although it will seem like that on here)

I wouldnt be surprised to see Smalling for Rio, doubt anyone other than Evra starts on the left on Tuesday

0-4 Birmingham are very poor right now and we need to drive home the advantage regardless of how many Drogba puts past Arsenal tonight.

Birmingham are poor, if we keep our concentration at set pieces we should be fine. 0-2 rooney x 2

As Giggs and Anderson both got subbed after 60 min yesterday, I'm sure they will start. Fletcher and Nani are fit for this game according to Sir Alex so I expect those four in midfield with Carrick on bench after his 90 min against Sunderland.

Kuszczak; Rafael, Smalling; Carrick, Gibson; Hernandez, Macheda

Despite Rafael playing well lately and nailing down that Right Back slot, I think we'll see O'Shea drafted in for a little more height. I'd probably rather see Rafael get this long run of games, but I can see Sir Alex making this move. If fit, Nani has to come back in as we'd have no other wing options (Obertan isn't starting). Carrick's started a lot lately, but he's not exactly been standing out in any of his performances.. I think everyone else has at times. Fletcher to start. The only changes I can see would be Rafael and Carrick starting again, and Obertan making the bench over Gibson or Macheda. But if Nani doesn't make it, I'm really unsure what we'd do (probably play Fletcher right side though..).

I reckon we'll nick this 0-1, Rooney to score.
