Great reverse ball by Scholes to put Ole through, his shot hitting the side netting as it was just touched around the post by Friedel. Diego's corner comes to nothing.
 
Are we playing against Boro? Seems a similar match...

I reckon we're missing Seba. Never thought i'd say that.

I still think we'll pick it up soon, we always do at this time of year.

Probably 1-1, the match is very boring and both teams are struggling to string a few passes together.
 
we had 30 minutes of pressure with no luck and a few clear chances and they go up the other end and fluff it in off flitcroft's foot. now the pudding eaters have grown in confidence and some of their players might now show up. i must admit i hate flitcroft getting the better of us. :mad:
we need roy for the second half although i think he'll wait 5 minutes before making any changes.

Agree that we miss Seba's passing. the long balls over the top to Ole have consistently been overhit.

Forlan isn't keeping possession enough in the link role.
 
Blackburn have defended quite well, and we've not managed to get the midfield linking well enough with the front two - they've not kept the ball upfront well enough. Need to be a little sharper up front, pass a bit better and Giggs needs to produce a bit more. Still don't know how we're a goal down, cos we ought to be winning really.

We should have scored at least a couple in the first half, but our passing has been very bad. Blackburn was there to be beaten in the first quarter.

Don't worry lads, I can't see them keeping us out for another 45, and our passing and urgency will improve in the second half after Alex has had a word or two. Just a shame to see our run of clean sheets end to such a scrappy goal.

One noticeable change since half time is we're put in more tackles.

feck, that was close! Duff delivers the perfect cross, Barthez misses it and somehow both Cole and Yorke miss it too.
 
The tempo's been upped and its more end to end. Gary clears a cross and Gillespie is coming on for Dunn.
