is it me or have the inbred cnuts become more anoying this season?

all i get is how they stuffed us 1-0 and there gonna feck us over again

it doesn't matter if the game's deuced, unless Blackburn scored first, isn't it??
but of 'coz...winnin' this is the best...just in case.......

We should also go 4-4-2 this time since RVN seems to continue his struggle to get a goal. With Ole out, it should be RVN + Forlan.

Giggs should still stay on the bench to accomodate 4-4-2 with Veron back in central midfield.

I reckon we have a fair chance at this, so 2-1 to us seems just.

After Liverpool, City and Arsenal, Blackburn are right up there with teams I love to hate. One season wonder mother feckers.

Still, let's all hope they beat Liverpool in the final, cos I can't see us winning tonight.... Just got that feeling and don't know why. Had it just before the City game as well. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

When Celtic outplayed and out fought them in the 2nd leg of their UEFA game, they stuck Sutton on Tugay to do a hatchet job.

Stop Tugay and you stop a lot of what they can do up front. He seems to play the support striker very well and always has a stormer against us.

COMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ONNNNNNNN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU BLACKBURNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Fergie hasn't lost a domestic semi-final in 15 years(and only lost 2 European Cup semi-finals in that time - to German opposition on both occasions, Leverkusen and Dortmund).
My money's definitely on Man Utd for this one - I don't believe Blackburn will be cautious at all(as Souness put it, he "doesn't have the players to do it") as they are well aware Man Utd could, and most probably would, score - and I cannot see Man Utd NOT getting a win against Blackburn on 3 successive occasions.
There'll never be a better time for Fergie to win his second league cup and now is definitely the time. Considering Blackburn having rattled the lion's den in the first leg(with the away goal), I can't see this being anyway other than United going all out.

Im going with United, not only by the history of things but we can not go a season, playing a team 4 times and not win one of them

:)

I know how you feel, but it was the reverse for me last night!

Wish I knew why I hate Liverpool so much... it can't be rational... I truly hate them and want them to fail at everything. It would be the same if you had a tiddlywinks team.

I could never hate Arsenal as much. Perhaps it's to do with being one of about 4 united fans at my school during the 80's when shirts with 'Crown Paints' and 'Candy' were all the rage.

We had very few arsenal fans and one of them was a teacher. (Made me stand up in class and recite the Arsenal starting 11 after they won the title in 1991. They then beat United in their last game of that season at Highbury 3-1.)

Team News from Sky Sports :
Blackburn boss Graeme Souness has kept faith with defender Andy Todd, who was sent off in Saturday's 1-1 Premiership draw with Birmingham at Ewood Park.

Todd was dismissed for a blatant kick on Christophe Dugarry but retains his place in the squad as the cup holders chase successive trips to the final.

David Thompson's second-half strike earned them a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Old Trafford a fortnight ago, and Blackburn will feel confident of finishing the job having beaten United on home soil in the Premiership just before Christmas.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be fit for Man United, despite suffering a knee injury during Saturday's Premiership win over Chelsea.

But the Norwegian - who trained with the rest of the squad on Sunday - faces a battle to hold down his place as Ryan Giggs and Juan Sebastian Veron try to force their way back into Sir Alex Ferguson's starting line-up.

Veron was the inspiration behind Diego Forlan's last-minute winner against Chelsea and could replace Phil Neville in the heart of midfield, as United seek a first cup final appearance at the Millennium Stadium.

Saturday's last-gasp hero Diego Forlan might be offered a starting berth, possibly at the expense of top-scorer Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes the exploits of his team and Liverpool have ensured the Worthington Cup can no longer be dubbed `Worthless'.

United have been among the clubs to have treated the competition with disdain in recent seasons, with Ferguson preferring to pack his side with reserve and youth players in an effort to ensure his first-team squad remain fresh.

This season, though, has been a different story.Partly as a reaction to ending last term trophyless and then finding his team offered an early home draw at a time when their form was poor, the United chief has plumped for virtually his strongest line-up.

"There is no doubt the standing of the competition has been helped by ourselves and Liverpool getting to the semi-finals," said Ferguson, who led the Old Trafford outfit to their only success in the competition 11 years ago.

"The second-round bye handed to the teams who are in Europe is fair and has helped a lot because it gives you the incentive of going further.
.
"Now we all want to get to Cardiff. We have a good record in semi-finals and hopefully that will continue."

Under Ferguson's reign, United have not lost in 16 domestic semi-final outings, including replays.

"There is a determination about us now - that old will to win is back again," he said. "What we have seen in the last few weeks epitomises what Manchester United is all about.

"No-one gives in - we will play to the last kick of the ball and our opponents know that."

Blackburn (from): Friedel, Kelly, Neill, McEveley, Todd, Taylor, Thompson, Johansson, Flitcroft, Tugay, Gillespie, Duff, Cole, Short, Ostenstad, Jansen, Yorke, Grabbi.

Manchester United (from): Barthez, Ricardo, Carroll, O'Shea, G Neville, Brown, Blanc, Ferdinand, Silvestre, Beckham, P Neville, Scholes, Keane, Veron, Butt, Giggs, Van Nistelrooy, Solskjaer, Forlan, Richardson.

Bloody hard call tonight. A tight match with luck decider the winner.

I keep thinking about how hard the scousers will fight at Cardiff "if" we're still on for the quad by then !!!

Still eh, one step at a time.

(I havent been on here much due to a big deadline this Friday, I could do with working thru the game, but now its come round I cant stand missing it - off to the pub in an hour!)

Well its definately a win on paper. Then again I've thought that a lot this season!

I keep waiting for us to really get into gear. Tonight would be a nice place to start.

Is that the official 1st team sheet? Where's Keano...

Not official, MUTV put up the team sheet for the previous leg I think  Will update it when they do, Keano had better be playing!

I think that you have to wait until 15 minutes before kick-off with manutd.com. Five live is terrible though, 6 minute delay yesterday! I was reading posts on here ages before I heard them on the radio!
