Blackburn Rovers v Manchester Utd

Hearing Fergie said about the younger players experiencing nerves in the run-in, i can see both Scholes and Giggs starting tonight (probably just slotting in behind Carrick)

50 minutes to line-ups!

What do the twitter 'ITKs' say about who we'll play? It's getting time for the fake line-ups from people pretending to work for United.

Very mature. I forgot that Fergie and his team have never made any mistakes, and are above criticism from lowly fans like myself. We might as well shut the forum down now eh?

Man, would have loved to see those training sessions back in December with Park and Rafael pinging about passes between each other - dominating the midfield in training...

Everyone makes mistakes. SAF is only human. But he does deliver year in year out more often than many other managers. There's no need to criticise him for f*ucking up. Hindsight is 20-20.

The day he knows personally he f*ck up Man United as a result of wrong selection and there's someone else doing a better job than him, he will give way, you don't have to worry!

Very true, fair enough. Just think this season he's had a bit too much faith in players' abilities to 'play anywhere on the pitch' and it's cost us - particularly in the cups.

i bloody hate Monday games. I mean not in general but we play on Monday. It feels like we are left out or cannot catch up, some of yous know the feeling...it's like being the last bloke in your class to lose virginity. grrrr

We're not playing catch up, and City are the virgins

Batter them? We have 10 points in 10 years at Ewood. I'll be delighted with a 1-0 win even if it's a pathetic performance.

At this stage of the season the result is a priority. A scrappy win would be an excellent response to Citys performance over the weekend and keep us in a strong position. The bigger the gap before the derby, the better

That's the big difference to the home game where I believe we took it for granted that we'd get 3 points

No no no
Rio, Vidic, Smalling, Clev, Fletch, Giggs, Rooney were out that day
Our makeshift midfield pairing of Carrick-Jones were our makeshift CB pairing.
Anderson wasnt match fit I think
We had no midfield.

The problem wasnt complacency.

I've been singing an extended version of "This is the One" for the last two hours.

That's perfectly normal, isn't it?

There was an element of complacently for me but you're very much right in saying we were very under strength and largely not by choice. I've said before that context is everything, pundits are very willing to say Blackburn beat us at old Trafford but not one ever mentions the fact that our team was really a collection of fit footballers rather then a proper team.

Once again, hoping to see this team:

De Gea
Rafael - Rio - Evans - Evra

Carrick - Cleverley/Scholes

Valencia - Rooney - Young

Welbeck

Blackburn are an awful team so we should really be looking at a comfortable win tonight. The result at OT was a complete anomaly as we were missing half the team and had Rafael and Park in the middle, so it's no doubt we struggled. We still should have won that game as well, they only has three shots on target but scored three goals.

Very rarely as easy as that at Ewood.

With Samba gone, we might have some joy going forward. He was a beast.
But then Hoilett and Yak are pretty good if they show up.

I bust out laughing at that

Nervous for this one. How could people think it's an easy win!?
At least, there's not going to be any complacency from us. Evans with the winner from a corner

Last year was a joke of a game, we were more than happy with a draw so that's what we got. It wasn't even a contest in the last half an hour.

The year before is when we fecked up when we failed to beat them, but we were missing Rooney IIRC and just couldn't convert our chances. I agree with you that was a shocking 0-0 and cost us the title, but it was a one off game.

We won 2-0 the year before.

Any team news yet?

Ed Chamberlain is a decent anchor, in that he doesn't try to be too knowledgeable about the game but keeps things flowing well. Plus he doesn't seem like a complete Keysian arse.

Blackburn probably had more players out that day than we did...they barely could put a team together. They still beat us

Want to see Ando playing

After city dropping points it's 99% certain we will draw this.
It's the United way.
