Blackburn Rovers v Manchester Utd

That was class - Rafael makes the run through midfield, looks up and sees literally 6 Blackburn men ahead of him...the bus is parked.

In a game where we dominate the game and have two central midfielders behind him there is no one better than Giggs in that position. Also, he knows how to make runs to the left.

Bringing Giggs on will change that though.

Hard to do anything with Blackburn defending with 10 men behind the ball. We need some creative spark in midfield...

I somehow don't think Webb is going to give us a penalty tonight. Would fit too well into the recent narrative.

Nope, but if the ball's wet then fecking deal with it, tough shit.

The problem with the throw-in is that you can't get your hand behind the ball.. You depend almost solely on friction to throw it.

I hate the habit, but it's necessary or they won't be able to throw the ball really..

You can never tell with Giggsy. What price a winner like at Norwich?

It's a fair point and I'd agree we should chance our arm at some point but at the moment, the players currently on the pitch look capable of scoring.

Should have been a red. He had no business going with his elbow.

Ha, a free kick. Remember when we used to threaten from those (Arsenal fluke match aside)

We need to get the ball to Valencia as much as possible, he is the key IMO.

Yeah, but having towels ready to wipe the ball really takes a lot of time from the game considering how many throws there are in a game.

De Gea would've caught that. Robinson's shit.

In fairness, no way for Webb to see the elbow imo.

Who presses a man whit his elbow like that? Haven't seen a player getting hit by a clean elbow like that in a long time.

It's not that he's playing badly, he's had a decent game, but we're totally unbalanced to accomodate Jones, who doesn't seem to have a position, & Rooney is playing out of position & we've no penetration on the left. Young for Jones please!

Change what? He'll come on for Jones so he'll have Carrick and Scholes behind him and the freedom to go out left or into the middle, which ever way you look at it.

I don't think Jones should come off though, we nee his pace to deal with Blackburn's counter, as Carrick already showed he can't compete with Hoilet's pace. I'd be more inclined to bring Scholes off for Young in about 15 minutes or so.
