Blackburn Rovers vs. Manchester United

BBC are, more or less, spot on.

The caf muppets are, as usual, full of shite.

It's strange, my dad kept tutting when United's moves didn't come off, but I was loving it - these are not easy games.

To be winning at half time is good, but to do it while combining the resilience and composure expected of United is reassuring, especially after less than convincing performances this season. The movement... the passes aren't even that hard, it's fairly straightforward, but the running off the ball makes it so that the passes required to open up Blackburn is obvious.

We needed to ride out the opening 15 minutes and see how Bennett was gonna referee this one (he's been surprisingly good, letting things flow) before taking control. We're watching a very good, TEAM performance - even Ronaldo's passing the ball more.

Full marks to United.

We've been playing so much better since the players realized that they wouldn't be getting free kicks just for falling over.

This is our best performance of the season so far - reminds me of vs Aston Villa at OT in the rain last season, the passing and movement. Berbatov has arrived.

The goal was legitimate - Vidic is allowed to challenge the keeper. If van der Sar had let that in, I'd have been livid... at the keeper. He was far too soft and just seemed afraid of going in. Were his arms even above head height?

We *should* win this comfortably.

Next goals crucial

What did Fergie say about Rooney before K/O?

That they went for a jog and Rooney said he felt good and wanted to keep up his run.

Berbatov really does look like he is fitting in more and more with every touch he gets.

We are playing well, maybe should have scored a couple, but not complaining! Anderson is linking well, but his position has sometimes been a bit off. Anyway, overall pleased, looking to kill them off early in this half though.

Some of the play has been amazing.

Being critical we should have maybe taken one or two of them chances that we had. Hopefully we'll do that in the second half.

PS. Berbatov has put through a great few passes.

1-0 not enough, and early goal for us in the 2nd half would be welcome to calm our nerves

So far so good. A nice controlled performance with Berbatov knitting in well. Now we just need Ronaldo to start tearing Blackburn apart. I'd be very disappointed if Blackburn get back into this.

I stuck Fletch and Vidic into my fantasy team and they both missed good chances

Ronaldo looks like he's lost a yard or 2 of pace. Last season no-one could keep up with him nevermind Ooijer!!

I'm sure it will be back in time though.....

Oh, and United's away fans... no words to describe.

These are the games you watch United for, so anyone who wants a moan needs to look at themselves.

With the chances for Fletch, Roon & Giggs we could/should be 4-0 up, hope it doesn't cost us. feckin hope we get one pretty quick 2nd half to kill em off. Santa Cruz looks a threat whenever they get it forward.

teams back out

VDS with a save from Santa Cruz

ffs the 2nd half kicked off 5 mins later than it normally would, meaning thats 5 mins ill miss,

going out in 20 mins time

very cynical from Oojier

why is giggs still in the centre

if we are playing him there, we might as well play tevez in stead

Roberts getting ready

Santa Cruz off.
Roberts on.

I think.

A lot of late challenges from Blackburn here, a yellow needs to be shown

Roberts has done well this season, but I'm not too concerned if he comes on for Santa Cruz.

We have seen the quality of Santa Cruz and his major Saha like fault today
