Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester United

Berbatov has been great so far, Macheda has had a strange half, some good plays and some bad plays. Giggsy has been good also.
 
We have all the ball but doing nothing with it. Quite how valencia manages to miss from 3 yards out i don't know.

Anyway we should win this game.
 
Good workman like first half.
We should be 1 up bad miss by Val.
Berba and Nani have been excellent ,with I think Nani shading it for man of the half.
We have missed that ittle bit of luck we need in the box , but we will score
 
It's a 451 with Berbatov playing in midfield and occasionally getting into the box. I'll be suprised if he has more then 2 shots on target.
 
I'm enjoying the game. Less pressure than the last three games. Bit relaxed now, although this could change if Rovers score in the 2nd half or if we're in the 70 min with the score 0-0.
 
Need to spark in the final third. Combination of bad decision making (Nani), poor ball control (Macheda) and lack of wanting to take a shot (Collective apart from Nani).

Once one goes in we should hopefully be fine.. the ball retention has been good, just need to capitalise when we do break through.. Valencia silly boy.
 
A goal will come through Nani or Berbatov, I can see it.

Macheda played well the first thirty minutes, his link up play was very impressive. Sam Allardyce should go and manage in Italy cos that man can seriously put together a defensive unit.

Nani's got on the ball loads of times and been quite wasteful. Done wonderfully well to get so much of the ball though, and he's looked like he'll create a goal at some point.

Berbatov likewise, although not quite so wasteful. He's found space better than anyone else on the pitch and he's been a big part of us keeping possession so well with his hold-up play.

Macheda's been a bit too cute and elaborate but he's got in some great positions if Nani had've picked him out.

Giggs and Scholes doing well in midfield, Giggs especially.
 
Berbatov playing well but once more he's in midfield. He's a fooking striker! That ball Giggs played across was a golden chance, yet he was nowhere to be seen.

Nani has been alright, except for final ball, again.

We look like we lack drive tbh. We're dominating, but you wouldn't think watching us that this is a must win. Bit too casual, need to up it a few gears after the break.
 
Berbatov has been good, needs to stop moaning at every oppurtunity though.
 
Good half from us. They have defended well to be fair. Berbatov is on his period i think....he's had a whinge at half our team so far. Giggs and Scholes are running the show. Macheda has made a few inexperienced errors on the ball but his movement is good. Nani looks dangerous but his delivery has been below par.

All in all a good display. I just hope it doesn't turn into 'one of those days' and we hit the net soon.

We look like scoring. No major mistakes at the back
What stands out- Vlencia should have scored, but played well overall.
Berba plays deep, but looking good. He's been pulling the strings for the midfield today. Nani's decision making suspicious again.
Macheda is trying, but he's no Wayne. well who is
Scholes and Giggs quiet.
Great to have O'Shea back. Not used to seeing us win balls in the air on the left in defense
Hope we don't get some stupid goal from a deflection

We should look to get Gibson on somewhere in the second half. Robinson is shockingly bad from long range efforts.

We've done well I think, Berba has held the ball well and used it well most of the time. Macheda has been lively and moving into space, wingers are playing well and the Giggs/Scholes combo has done better than I thought. The back 5 are doing what they need to when they need to.

We just need to take more chances rather than walk the ball in the net.
 
Decent half controlling the ball but we don't really look like scoring too many. Going to be a tricky second half we could do with an early goal. Don't know why our players miss so many one on ones with keeper, when someone goes through I am sure the keeper will deny them.
 
HT ratings:

VDS - 6, not much to do but made one decent save early on.
Neville - 6, good defensively but numerous poor crosses so far
O'Shea - 6, solid
Rio - 6, as above
Vidic- 6, as above
Scholes - 6, finding space and picking out passes as usual but a bit anonymous
Giggs - 7, making several dangerous runs from midfield, passing well.
Valencia - 6, decent, should have scored.
Nani - 7, seeing a lot of the ball, shooting has been poor but looks most likely to score
Berbatov - 7.5, doing everything in the middle of the pitch, excellent first touch and great pass for Valencia chance, needs to push up.
Macheda - 7, great first touch, good movement, lacking the maturity to make the right decisions.
 
Obertan and Park are not in the dressing room but warming up on the pitch instead.

where will obertan play ? the wide players have done alright
 
We need to inject our attackers and wingers with speed.

They are doing the build up very well but the speed of body and mind in and around the box is slack. We really should be testing their keeper much more often. Berbatov and Macheda need to show better movement and anticipation to get on the end of these opportunities.

yeah, BR just can't seem to keep the ball for longer than 10 seconds. We should be putting them to the sword. Robinson's save from valencia has kept them in the game.
