Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester United

blackburn have been in good form in recent weeks
away there isnt easy
feck it
play the kids
unleash kiko , gibbo , delaet , rafael , diouf, the tan... the whole lot

smash 'em

..........................Van Der Sar

O'Shea........Ferdinand..........Vidic.........Evra

...................Fletcher.........Scholes

..Valencia...............Berbatov.............Nani

............................Macheda

Bench: Giggs/Park/Carrick/Gibson/Rafael/Evans/Pig

Blackburn are a very big physical/powerfull side and everyone knows how allardyce likes his teams to 'play', the ball will be launched into the box at every opportunity from all angles going and i think fergie might prefer O'Sheas height in this one, thinking back to the goal diouf scored against chelsea at the back stick after Ivanovich had gone off a few weeks ago for me highlights the threat their wide players pose more in the air than on the ground and makes me think fergie will want the biggest side possible for sunday.....O'Shea played just about half the match yesterday so i fancy he'll start him this weekend baring any ill effects, just a feeling.

Also would like to see Macheda given the nod here and think he will, dont think we need a 5 man midfield for this one as Blackburn will likely play 4-4-2 and Berbatov hasnt looked happy up top alone in recent weeks, Give Macheda a run out see how he does.

Tough game will be physically testing fancy us to edge it 2-1, were due a break and dare i say a bit of luck after recent events.

Agreed.

Another fecking early kick off? That's three in a row isn't it?!

I have to get up at the crack of dawn! Do they realise how utterly shite it is drinking beer at 6am?

Sort it out!

I agree with the rest, but why do people persist on Evra getting a rest? When has he ever been rested?

For me, he's one of the few players who just do not need a rest and can recharge between matches à la Puyol, Lampard, for example.

We're going to smash Blackburn in the tits. Whatever that means.

Let's go back to the top of the table and close that inferior goal difference down.

Chelsea will have a tough FA Cup game today - if anything, just because of the pitch. Then very small turn around time to prepare for what will be a physical assignment against a side who is playing for their lives on Tuesday...

The fella's form has clearly dipped in the past month or so.

No point resting anyone now, we've only got a handful of Premier League games left and it's the only competition we're still in and we need to win them all.

At the end of the day, a week between games is rest enough.

VDS
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Macheda Berbatov

Tough away game this. 0-1. Kiko

lots of injuries and red cards for the chavs I hope.

Wayne Rooney could be fit for Manchester United tomorrow against Blackburn Rovers, according to wife Coleen.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was adamant that Rooney would play no part against Blackburn on Sunday after aggravating his ankle injury at Old Trafford against Bayern Munich in a match the manager had said the striker would miss.

However Rooney's wife, Coleen, at Aintree for the Grand National meeting, suggested the England international was making a typically rapid recovery.

"He is fine and his ankle is fine," she said. "He has been into training today."

Rooney on the bench perhaps, don't think we are gonna risk him with the Derby coming up.

Berbatov & Macheda up front, keep Rooney for the Shitty match.

Nani needs to start, and what about Gibson? Played a good game on Wednesday.

Rooney excepting, we will start with a pretty strong line up. From now on its a match once a week for us. Just play the best team every week assuming everyone is fit...and hope Chelsea drop points.

That's all we can do.

Team should be....

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

CM: Fletcher
CM: Scholes
CM: Giggs

RW: Valencia
CF: Berbatov
LW: Nani

Subs: Foster, Neville, Evans, Gibson, Carrick, Park, Macheda

Thankfully the fact that we go top with a win should spur the players onto not conceding the title after last weekends result, I'd go with Scholes and Giggs for their past goal records against Blackburn and with no Rooney we need something in our favour.

fecks knows what the score will be lets just win please

Come on lads! Let's win this game 0-5 and put some pressure on the renties.

I've been very excited about this game since early hours yesterday. Only the league to focus on now, no excuses we need to win.. it's time to truly deliver.

SkySports have predicted Macheda to start, I don't think he will but would love for it to happen.

Not surprised by the paucity of posts on this matchday thread.

The CL disappointment means that I'm struggling to get up for this also. I've still got that 'what might have been' feeling inside, despite the fact that considering the injuries we've had this season we have got more than we might have expected.
