Blackburn vs Manchester United

what like in the CL semi 2nd leg?!

Completely different situation to this, for starters we were already winning, had a big game the following week and we were at home. This is the league where anything can happen and we have a fecking terrible away record, not to mention Blackburn will be well up for this. Rest them against Blackpool, not now when there is still a job to be done.

VDS
Fabio Rio Vidic Evra
Valencia Carrick Anderson Park
Rooney Berbatov

PIG, Evans, Smalling, Giggs, Fletcher?, Chicharito, Nani

Not sure about the team, but didn't Fergie say Fletcher would play? Wonder if he go 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 with Fletcher in the side. I mean, Anderson deserves to play as well and Carrick should be in the side too.
Also O'Shea and Evra will surely be doubts after injuries vs Schalke and yesterday.

Hope we win and put Blackburn in deep trouble, never liked them.

i actually think both managers will make a pact before the game and it'll end up 0-0 to ensure the day's respective agendas :D

Yes, there's still a point needed for the league but I do think we'll get it this weekend against Blackburn. SAF will play the right team. The majority of our away games have been draws which is all that's needed on Saturday.

We've lost 4 matches, all away from home but 3 of those were against Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. I'd like to think we can go to Ewood Park and get at least a point.

I would love to see Fergie fielding this 11:

------------------------VDS------------------------
Fabio--------Smalling-----------Vidic----------O'Shea
Rafael-------Fletcher----------Scholes-----------Nani
------------Berbatov---------Rooney----------------

------------Vds------------
Fabio-Smalling-Vidic--Evra
-------Carrick--Giggs------
Nani-----------------Park
---------Rooney-----------
---------Hernandez-------

I hope SAF field our strongest team to get the job done asap.

I'd love it more if we win the league AND Blackburn get relegated. Those *******s. They cost us the league last season, and almost did the same in 2008.

Our 'fecking terrible' away record is only two points worse than Chelsea's for example, yet no one points out their record in that regard.

It's also 6 points worse than Arsenal's, and 1 point worse than City's. No, our away record isn't that of a mid-table team, but if we hadn't made OT a fortress, managing 52 of 54 points there, we wouldn't win the league.

But we did, and we do well at Old Trafford every season. It's been like that for a while. I'm not saying our away record is good, yes it's poor by our standards, but to say it's 'fecking terrible' is plain wrong when there are just a few teams with better records and only Arsenal really have it significantly better.

Valencia needs to play, he's only got 9 appearances this season.

I reckon we need to field our strongest team, get that point and secure the title before we start resting players. The European Cup final is weeks away, can't be resting players far too long either.

Wouldn't surprise me if we lose this one. United always do it the hard way.

I wish everybody would relax. We need one point....ONE point from two matches, both of which are against Blackburn and Blackpool. If we can't get that, then Hell will have frozen over.

Like SAF said, we'll get the point we need and I do think we'll get it this weekend against Blackburn.

For our standards it is fecking terrible!

For the first time in my life i will cautiously say that it is an easy match for us.

It's been more our away performances than results. We just look a totally different team, and while it has looked better in the last couple of months, we still had some disappointing moments away. We clearly haven't gotten over it.

This Blackburn, playing as poorly as they ever have in the Premiership, with a totally inexperienced manager at the helm.... I don't think we will have any problems, I don't think they will even threat to score against us, and we should be able to get a few goals there.

We've not won our last 2 away games. I guess we're due a win now. Think it'll be 1-1 though....which suits us.

Players needing games to qualify for a Championship medal should get run outs...

I think it will be a victory for us. Stressful games are over for the next couple of weeks thank feck.

I can't see why we should play anything but our strongest possible XI. If we do we're likely to get the point we need, and a two-week rest ahead of Wembley. If we feck this up the rested players would have to play next week.

Makes a nice change doesn't it. I am looking forward to seeing some of the other lads get a run out. It would be nice to see Owen get a couple of starts

nice, get it all officially tied up and done and dusted this weekend, then even if the citeh cnuts do win it will be overshadowed but premier league success, citeh - always in our shadow :D
