Blackpool vs. Manchester United

I am not sure who will be playing LW, could be another frustrating match for Rooney there. I thought Fergie would stick with O'Shea, I am delighted he sees Rafael as the main RB candidate.

Subs: Lindegard Owen Hernandez Giggs Anderson Fabio Evans

Blackpool: Kingson; Eardley, Evatt, Cathcart, Baptiste; Taylor-Fletcher Grandin, Adam, Vaughan; Varney, Campbell

Subs: Rachubka, Southern, Harewood, Ormerod, Sylvestre, Phillips, Edwards

Dj Campbell has been doing good this season for them. Hopefully Vidic will neutralize his contributions.

3 central midfielders? don't like that. None of them are great defensively and Gibson and Fletcher will spend most of the game doing nothing.

Thought Giggs would be nailed on to start after getting subbed early on saturday

at least berba and rooney are starting

Do not understand why Anderson is not being started. Although I guess him and Scholes in midfield is a bit dodgy,

Yeah Scholes and Ando should start if Carrick starts because Carrick is a defensive midfielder while Fletcher is not. But still Ando-Scholes combo is much better and more productive than Scholes-Gibson combo.

Gibson playing wide right is a possibility.

Not a bad lineup. Bit miffed on the omission of Giggs though. Rooney, Berba and Nani up top. Sounds like goals to me.... I hope

I disagree, I think with Fletcher and Gibson you'll get commitment ... yes none of them are great defensively, ergo they're not defenders.

You think Giggs would've been a defensive improvement????

Squad rotation is very frustrating, Anderson should have kept his place.

For once I agree with you.

What's the point of him playing such a good game and then missing the next game? He and Carrick have proven to be our best pairing over the last month or so.

However Scholes is back

What's the point?

Managing his return from a long-term serious injury, as Anderson himself said a couple of days ago.

"My knee is not 100%"

Anderson should play imo. Hope Fergie and the boys dont underestimate them

I think Anderson said it himself that his knee wasnt 100% but he was getting there so SAF must not want to rush him too much (i know he had a little run before that but they must feel like they have to put the breaks on a little). Still its a good team even if i do have a few concerns starting with a inexperienced, out of form, returning from injury midfielders all at once

Good team... Anderson should play though, our best option in midfield. Our friend Gibson starts. I understand that we need squad players just not sure he should be playing in this game though. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong but I just don't see anything special, he can shoot but that's about it.

Gibson playing wide right is a possibility.

As is mass caf suicide :p

Glad that Gibson is getting more playing time, he could do with another good performance...I just hope it's in the middle.

As for Anderson not starting; he's on the sodding bench. Stamina still isnae 100%, so I dunno why so many people are flipping a shit over this.

To play for United you need more than just commitment. I'm not asking them to be great as defenders, the game bypasses Gibson and Fletcher isn't disciplined so we have no protection for the defence. We're just basically throwing 3 central midielders together, this will be a disaster if Scholes isn't on form.

Giggs is a winger, therefore if he played we'd have a different shape to the team. And I couldn't give a toss how wingers defend.

Finally with this match we get back to terms will all the other teams in terms of matches played.

Please answer me this, if you're so upset with squad rotation ... What's the point in having a squad?

Should Fletcher be sold then?

What about Ferdinand now that Smalling's emerged?

Let's get rid of Park and Valencia while they are gone too.
