It is a pathetic forum in terms of say, if a City fan today now says I am not convinced Gabriel Jesus is worth £25m yet - he will instantly be accused of supporting Utd and being jealous.

Then you have others who have never seen him play, claim him to be 2nd best signing of the summer, or something to that level of idiocy.

The fact they still insist Gundogan is signing of the summer, or Sane, is proof they constantly wear Blue tinted specs

The signing of the summer in a purely ability point of view and for the name is/will be Pogba.
The signing of the summer in a "that is exactly what they need" is Kante

Gundogan is good IF he stays fit, but lets be honest he is crocked, he's on the Wilshere path.
Sane, no one has seen enough of him, unless you're an avid Bundesliga watcher whcih i doubt any over there are.

Gotta be honest, I'd be pretty chuffed if we'd signed Gundogan. Yes, he's potentially another Wheelchair, but he is also potentially a best-in-the-league CM. And the price reflected the injury situation, dirt cheap in today's market. Can't blame them for being pleased with that one.

The rest is true though. Sané is a similar signing to Martial. No-one's really seen enough of him yet for it not to be a gamble at that price, and they've paid even more for him than we paid for Martial. Sure, our gamble worked out, but that doesn't necessarily means the odds are good.

Gundogan's a risk, but by their standards a cheap one, and very worth taking a shot with.
If my team needed to fill one position, that of a creative central midfielder, and my team went and bought a crock and went into the season with just him, I would be pissed off.

Besides Gundogan, if fit. And this is genuine, none of their summer signings make me sit up and take notice.

Sane could be decent, but a lot of money for unproven player right now.

Most of the players are for the future though. I don't think anyone is thinking we are going to blitz the league this year. Equally I don't think anyone has bought a world beater unless you sign Pogba and even then he's not quite at that level just yet. If Chelsea sign a CB I'd actually say they've done the best business in terms of improving their starting 11.

City was all about plugging holes in their starting XI and putting some young blood to rejuvenate the squad. I think they have done a good job. However, imo their biggest weakness is still midfield and I don't think Gundogan is enough. Especially as he's out till December.( not sure if that's the case)

If you include Pogba, I think we've done the most work the XI.
I don't think Bathsuyahi starts for Chelsea, while we would have improved 4 positions in the team. Including Pogba, all our signings go straight into the XI.
Doesn't mean we have the best team. Still reckon City will have the best team at the end of the window due to heir considerable attacking power.

That's true actually, your 4 signings will all be first teamers. You have probably improved the most looking at it like that.

Can you please describe what you mean by this term? Because if Pogba or Ibra don't fall under this category, then I'd be interested to see who would, apart from Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar and Bale who are utterly unattainable.

Haha, that's exactly who I mean by world beater. I think Pogba will one day be in the same league as Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez etc but he's not yet. And for me Ibra was in that category but not at 34. Your best player is still De Gea for me, regardless of Ibra and if you sign Pogba. I'd call De Gea a world beater if that helps you understand what I mean.

This isn't the thread for sensible debating but I'm sure you must frequent Bluemoon where it's a foregone conclusion over there since the arrival of Guardiola.

I'm a regular on bluemoon and it's really not. Like any site, very much including this one, you get your fans who are bias or deluded but the majority think it will be a close race will a bedding in period for Pep. Perhaps the majority think we have the best squad and I personally think that's probably true but like most seasons injuries (and poor tactics at times) have been are undoing.

Most blues I know think it will a three horse race between us, you and Chelsea.

You talk to much sense... You can not be a regular on Bluemoon!

It'll be close as hell the title race. Usual top 3 utd city chelsea, 4th out of spurs and liverpool IMO unless Arsenal sign some class.

Utd will grind out 1-0's under Jose. Pep will play nice stuff. Conte will be hard to beat

There's a proper City discussion thread but this one always gets sabotaged.

By reds mostly.
I must admit I didn't fully "get" this thread when I first appeared on the Caf and got involved in reacting to statements that I considered untrue or disingenuous. I was then reminded I was derailing this fun thread and now mostly post in other threads and lurk on this one.

Quit being nice gentleman Jim! It's annoying

These things did not exist 8 years ago: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Uber, Airbnb, Snapchat, Instagram, Man City Fans, Fitbit,Spotify, Dropbox, WhatsApp

The same was said for Martial. So let's give Sane till December at least before we start judging that City have overpaid

We signed Zlatan.

Can the Stockport fans get the feck out of this thread and keep their team discussion to the relevant thread? A threadban wouldn't be the worst idea. This thread is for enjoying and sharing the wisdom of Bluemoon posters so lets keep it that way.

That bald **** from the sun and smith have got less football knowledge than some rags ffs.
What a pair of sad ****s,regardless of how long ago it was broadcast City should ban the pair of them.
Wonder what they will say about pogba signing for the scum at £100m plus?
Classless club my arse....would love slysports and the sun to go bust.

IF United sign Pogba and IF he plays in the Derby and IF you go you will her the chant of 'United reject, United reject' every time he touches the ball.

The City fans will be in the near corner of the ground to the right of the main TV camera position, so try and look there if you watch on TV but do not be fooled by the sound being turned down by the TV crew or by the few times the cameras show that area - not even for away goals.

Going by what i've seen, most rags haven't bought a shirt since Sharpe stopped sponsoring them.

Oh dear poor Raggy .. The truth will hurt you but may eventually set you free. You swamp dwelling **** puffin.

Sane is still young. Feck giving him til December, give him 2-3 years before we judge his progress.
If City thought they needed a world beater on the right side right away they would've gone for someone else, they are obviously going for the talent in Sane.

Ha ha the comments about the Community Shield win, Ibra's goal and Pogba's return. For added value we also have the game against Arsenal. They really are not having a good day today. They really are pissed....again!
